I have tested it out on two other computers and the query layer worked just fine which leads me to believe it's something to do with my computer. When trying to create query layers on my machine, nothing works no matter what data I am using.

Hi, I am using ArcMap 10.4.1. If I go to File -> Add Data ->Add Query layer I can fill out everything, validate it, and hit ok - then it starts to run and ArcMap Crashes. I can use the "Make Query (Data Management)" Tool and successfully create a Query Layer, but it does Not show up in "Layers" in the TOC . See Screenshot. The data is there, and I can use the identify tool to get information about the polygons. If i switch to List by Source, Visibility, or Selection in the TOC, sometimes the Query Layer will appear there and sometimes it won't. If I open an existing mxd with a query layer already in it, I can modify the Query and everything functions correctly. Any thoughts as to what is going on? Thanks! Pamela

Is there a way to Move Points Based on X,Y location and preserve the attachments? I have a point feature class that has attachments. I want to move the points to the centroid of a polygon feature class. Based on this question https://community.esri.com/thread/20418 I can get the X,Y coordinates for the centroid of polygons and create a NEW point feature class at that centroid....but that still leaves me with the attachment problem. Any thoughts? Thanks!

figured it out - it was because i messed around with the select multiple field. In the end I published my Field survey with all the questions. I then published my Supervisor Survey from the Field Survey feature class. I then went back and the supervisors questions hidden in the field survey. Set up the inbox on the Supervisor's survey only. Everything is working perfectly !

OK....I set that up, but it's not working correctly.... When I sign into my supervisor's report survey, I can't see any surveys sent from the field workers surveys. 1. I set up Form1 as my initial feature service and published. 2. I went into Survey123Connect, click New Survey, clicked the radio button for Feature Service, chose my Form1 FC and titled it Field Survey. I edited this survey to hide the supervisors field. I did notice that my .xls form was set up differently than my original Form1 .xls. For example my "select multiple" row was changed to just text, and the form no longer included those selections in the Choices tab. I changed it back to 'select multiple' and added the choices back in so I don't know if that messed it up. 3. I published Field Survey 4. Went back to Survey123Connect and created a new survey titled Supervisor. I created the survey from the same Form1 feature class. I then made the same "select multiple" changes I made above. 5. published the Supervisor survey. Now when i send a survey from the Field Survey form, it doesn't show up in either the Form1 or the Supervisor feature service. Did i miss something? Or did the fact that I changed the .xls for mess it up? Thank you for all your help! Pamela

Thanks James - I got the NULL value working! So by having 2 forms, you mean creating 2 separate surveys, one with a hidden field and one with the same field but not hidden? How does that work? I want the supervisor to be able to edit the hidden field in the sent forms in the in box...is there a step by step guide how to set that up? haha. Sorry a little confused...

Thank you for the responses - i will have my supervisor download Survey123 onto their desktop. Now I have another questions. In the Inbox I can set a Query expression to filter the surveys that the supervisor can see in the Inbox. I have a text field where the supervisor types in their name. If I want the query expression to to show surveys where the supervisor name field is blank, what is the correct expression? I've tried tried a few different things but keep striking out! Thanks - Pamela

Ok I went through the link you sent more carefully - the inbox allows you to access all sent surveys from any device. That could potentially be helpful. The most helpful however, would be for the supervisor to be able to edit surveys sent from a web browser on their computer....just to be able to mark them as viewed. I wish their was the capability to edit from the survey123 site and not have to pop open the map viewer.

Hi James, Thank you for the response. The supervisor won't necessarily have access to the same device that the survey is being sent from, it would also not be efficient for the supervisor to try and track down all devices so they can sign off on the survey. I am looking for a way for the supervisor to sign off or mark as reviewed after the survey as been sent from a web browser, not from the sent box in survey123.

I want to use Survey123 to keep track of a daily work related checklist. I would like to use the signature function to have the person filling out the survey sign it, and then send it. After the survey is sent, I would like the supervisor to have a way to also sign the survey, or somehow mark that they have reviewed it. Any suggestions how to go about doing that would be great. In addition - I like the "show individual response" option when reviewing survey123 data, is that option available in AGOL or only Survey123?

Hi, I am trying to understand configuration Keywords a little better and how they play a roll in GDB set up/function. I understand the difference between the GEOGRAPHY and GEOMETRY configuration keywords in that the geography keyword will store data using lat/long coordinates systems, and geometry will use projected coordinate systems. 1. I have an SDE Geodatabase that I inherited from my predecessor at work and it looks like both GEOGRAPHY and GEOMETRY keywords were set up in this geodatabase (see attachment). Is this ok? Or does that just mean that some feature classes within the gdb use the geography config. keyword and some use the geometry config. keyword? 2. What is the best way to check what configuration keywords were used when importing feature classes from one geodatabase to another? 3. Is there a way to make sure all feature classes in a geodatabase use the Geometry Keyword? Thanks! Pamela
