Three services from same ArcGIS server are being used in the map application. The user might turn on any layer(s) from any of the three map services. Nothing is added dynamically

Hi all I can frame the situation a bit more clearly: I can print layers from a SINGLE map service by passing that as a parameter to the ExportWebmap task. If I want to print layers from TWO or MORE map services, is it possible to pass these as parameters under url option below? "operationalLayers" : [ { "id" : " } ] Thanks Thomas

Is it possible to print map layers from multiple map services using ArcGIS Java Script API? I have situation where more than 2 map services needs to be included in a single JavaScript application and layers from any of these services (as selected by the user) needs to be exported as a map using the Export Webmap service (using a defined map template published from my server). However, when using the Export WebMap print service, there is only option to pass one map service as a parameter. Is there any way around?

It was possible (still possible) to highlight (a crosshair) a point feature in a mapservice using ArcGIS JavaScript api 3.13, however this is no longer available in 3.18. It seems this is only possible if the layer is called as feature layer. Is there any workaround on this?

Jayanta, as I mentioned, this is view table (data changes frequently) so can't use as a feature class. It worked in the past, but not sure why this is not supported now.

1. I have a point layer created from a view table (Latitude / Longitude). I can see the layer when symbolised as a single symbol, or graduated symbols (quantities) when the co-ordinate reference system is GCS_WGS_1984. However, when I use a projected co-ordinate system I cannot see the layer anymore. 2. If the map is published using the GCS_WGS_1984 co-ordinate system, I cannot see the graduated symbolised layers when the the mapservice is accessed through ArcGIS online. However, if I access the same layers as individual feature layers, it is visible. 3. Although the symbols are not visible, the identify function, legend and attribute tables all works in ArcMap, ArcGIS online and through ArcGIS JavaScript API. ArcMap 10.3.1 ArcGIS Server 10.31

Thanks Tanu Hoque Tried option #1: No success Option #2: Couldn't go past the 'CreateService' as the JSON format keeps failing. I think have to wait until a proper solution comes from ESRI. Update Correction on Option #2: A bit fiddly, but managed to make it work. Thanks Tanu! Thomas

A while ago ESRI UK through ESRI Inc said this is a known bug: BUG-000096129 When publishing a map service containing an XY event layer that is created from a database table, the layer fails to publish and results in the following error, "Error 001487: Failed to update the published service with the server-side data location." They have attached this case to the bug, however it has been marked as closed as it has been fixed in upcoming releases of Server. However the 10.4.1 release doesn't mention about the above bug: http://support.esri.com/en/downloads/patches-servicepacks/view/productid/66/metaid/2301 So what is the alternate solution till then? I have upgraded ArcGIS Server 10.3.1 to 10.4 and facing issues with publishing map services with data stored in enterprise databases. The server is hosted in Amazon AWS with following infrastructure and works fine: Windows 2012 R2 Server 10.3.1 PostgreSQL 9.3 (in the same server - localhost) with SDE enabled PostgreSQL as AWS RDS with SDE enabled However, when the server upgraded to 10.4, the service with data in enterprise databases (both localhost and AWS RDS) which used to publish are no longer working. The error is The ArcServer log file shows the following details Error executing tool. I am traying to upgrade from ArcGIS server 10.1 to 10.2.2. After installation and web adaptor configuration, everything works as normal and I can successfully administer server and access rest services from external network. However, if I restart the server then the web adaptor is disabled (external access will work only with port number (http://static-ip:6080/rest). I have to reconfigure web adaptor every time the server restarts to get the rest / admin access from external network. Any clues what goes wrong here? Thanks Thomas

Recently upgraded to viewer 3.3 and a very funny situation develops in the layer control. I have seven layer groups, each containing 4 layers each with visibility of layers controlled by scale. In the first group I can use the zoom in /out tool or mouse scroll to zoom in and out and the map performs as expected. Turn off layer group 1 and and turn on layer group 2 and repeat the same process (zoom in / out or mouse scroll), all layers become unselected. This is same for all layer groups except the first group. I have tested the same map in Viewer 3.2 and it works fine. Has anyone observed this or just my own ?
