Doesn't help I'm not very good with dictionaries. If I was doing this, I'd probably convert my raster to an ASCII file, so I could run my script without ArcGIS. Then I'd would just iterate over each line and value in the ascii and check the value against your values, and append to a list. Xander Bakker, you mind taking a look at this?

I know where it is, but since all the names are romanized, its hard to find them at first glance. Search bar is a handy tool, I was just doing a visual check earlier. Still a very handy resource, I'm going to share that link.

I agree, many of the places on that map would be much more recognizable by their native name, not by a Romanization that took place after occupation. I kept looking for Trier and couldn't find it.

Looking at it again I see another problem. ag = Agriculture.append(dct.values())) append it used to add a value or string to a list, so making a new variable equal to an append will do nothing to the variable, though it will actually append your value to the list append is being called on(in this case Agriculture) . try Agriculture.append(dct.values()) print Agriculture

A raster cell can only have a single value, currently you are using and statements, not or statements and it would be impossible for your value to be 2100, 2200, 2300, and 2400 simultaneously. Try replacing your &'s with or's

Hello folks.
In Arc Map 10.1 I have I polyline with distances (2.659542 m) and length (0.00266 km) fields. Those fields were calculated with geomtric calculator.
I am tryin a Multiple Ring Buffer Tool with 30, 50 and 100 metres of distance. At the end, the tool shows 3 rings, however,
2.5 Km polyline is located within the 30 metres ring (see littel blue polyline in inner ring). I am really confused. Why 30 metres ring is larger than polyline length?
The polyline is in WGS 1984 World Mercator.
Can you give an idea(s) to fix this problem?
I think you may have answered your own question. Accoding to your original post, you line is only 2.659m, not kilometers(or as you mentioned .00266km). I'm assuming you are only working with a single line, not multiple lines anytime you buffer a feature, the resulting buffer by definition should contain your input feature(unless you are using a negative value buffer). So yes, your 2.659m polyline should be within your 30m radius buffer.

also, if you make a copy of the dbf file from your shapefile on your harddisk, excel should be able to open your attribute table as a table. If that doesn't work, you can always change the extension of the copy dbf you made to a .xls(old excel file format) and excel should be able to open it that way.

Yes this is very feasible with python. Using arcpy.da.Walk, we can go through all subdirectories of a selected work space and get all the text files that are within them. Then we check if they start with "agr" and if we do, add the file path and file name to an empty list, which can iterate over for the table to table tool. Some sample code to get you going.
import arcpy
import os
#Set your own workspace below
workspace = "c:/data" #Example
text_files = []
for dirpath, dirnames, filenames in arcpy.da.Walk(workspace, datatype="Text"):
for dirname in dirnames:
for filename in filenames:
if (dirname[0] == "a") and (filename[0:2] == "agr"):
text_files.append(os.path.join(dirpath, filename))
outLoc = "C:/data/Output" #Example
for textfile in text_files:
outName = textfile.split("\\")[-1]
arcpy.TableToTable_conversion(textfile, outLoc, outName) #Fill in optional parameters as needed

You are getting multiple scores over your threshold value, so like if you had a tie, the geocoding wants you to pick the one that you find to be correct. Raising your threshold value will reduce the number of unmatched if there are multiple matches.

tied merely means that two address get the same score in matching(usually when a road name has different suffixs, or names i.e. US 72 N vs US 72 S for the same address, or US 72 N vs US 72, etc). When tied you can manually pick a match between the tied records.

It looks like you had two matches with the same score, since it was a tie, it doesn't auto-assign, its up to you to select which of the tied records you want to use. You could select the box that says match tied records, and it might take care of things, though surprisingly none are listed as "tied", you can clearly see you had two options for the 95.46 match score.

Actually this would be relatively quick and easy to do by hand, just do select by attribute, do a field calculator on your class field. I'd made a new field for putting the class numbers in, select python as your parser, and clcik the check mark to show the code block. in the prelogic script code put in
def Reclass(Value):
if ( Value <= 1) and ( Value >= .6) :
return 1
elif ( Value < .6 ) and ( Value >= .2):
return 2
elif ( Value < .2) and ( Value >= -.2):
return 3
elif (Value < -.2) and ( Value >= -.6):
return 4
elif ( Value < -.6) and ( Value >= -1):
return 5
else:
return 0
In the block below it put: Reclass("doubleclickonthefieldyouneedhere") your field in the Reclass parentheses should be between exclamation points, not quotes, and be the fields that has your original values in it. Hope this helps
