I have finally found what seems to be the problem. When I have a tool that uses a draw surface, like a query task, the editing attribute window will not open, and the just in time debugger pops up. Here is the error: An unhandled exception('Unhandled Error in Silverlight Application Code: 4004 Category: ManagedRuntimeError Message: System.InvalidOperationException: Cannot resolve TargetName DisabledVisualElement The error does not occur when I have the ShowAttributesOnAdd = False, but if I try to show the attributes using the attributes button on the editor widget, I get the error. I do not need to run the query task for the error to happen. If I comment out the xaml for the button that calls the query task, I will not get the error. I also had this problem when I was using the area and perimeter tool sample in the utilities folder. Thanks,

Hi, If you have a feature cursor, or selection set you might have the feature class hung up. Try the Marshal.ReleaseComObject(pCursor); to free up your feature class. This sometimes works for me. Chris

With the help of tech support, I found the command. IEditor3.CurrentTemplate will set the selected template to start editing. Chris

Hey, I am trying to select a feature template for editing a feature class. I have selected the feature layer in the TOC and created a feature template, but cannot get the feature template selected to allow the user to start editing. Is it possible to select the feature template through code? I would like to do it without opening the create feature window. Thanks, Chris

Hey, I want to use the delete field command in model builder and programatically add the field name. I have a process to find the field name, which changes depending on the input, but cannot make the delete field command take the input. Is there a way to do this? Thanks, Chris

I realized that I did not use the make feature layer tool, so once I added that to the input feature in the model, the selected set did not persist when the model completed its run.

Hey, I am doing a couple of selection by location steps in model builder and getting an output. After that is done, the input feature class still has some selected features. How do I unselect them after the process is finished? Chris

Hey, I am having problems getting the editor widget to work inside of a glass panel using the glass template. Has anybody gotten this to work? The problem is that the widget will open, but after I digitize a polygon, the attribute window will not open. Hey, I have the editor widget set up, and I have a feature layer ready for editing. I am able to add a polygon, but when I finish the poly, the system crashes. The other tools seem to work, except for the attributes tool. When I click on the attributes button and click on a feature polygon, the system crashes. Does anybody know why the attributes window would crash? I am using Silverlight 2.1. Thanks, Chris

Look into the query layer -- new in server 10.0. It allows you to access non-esri data, and make it into a layer that you can use to create a service. Then just add the service. http://help.arcgis.com/en/arcgisdesktop/10.0/help/index.html#//00s50000000n000000.htm

Jennifer, I looked at that, but I have already upgraded to silverlight api v2.0. Off and on it seems like the scalebar is really squished into the right side of the scalebar area. Chris

Hey, I am using the glass template, and the scalebar works before I customize it. When I changed to my map service, the scalebar quit working. My map service is a custom projection, but I stated the WKID and the extent. will changing the map service projection disable the scalebar? Is there some setting that I am missing? Chris
