Hey, I want to be able to have a couple of developers able to work on an app. Has anybody figured out how to do this? I don't mean just the widgets, but the entire app. I have set up WAB as a service on our server, but I can't figure out how to get the service to start the app builder. Let me know if anybody has any ideas about this. Thanks, Chris

I was not really clear in what I wanted to do with the login. What I really want is to log in to the app itself. I have taken care of the secure layers with AGOL, but wanted to limit the users to the app. So I changed the settings in IIS from anonymous Authorization to Windows Authorization. This way anyone in our network can get into the app without logging in, and they can get to it from home with their normal windows login. Chris

I have an app that is open to the public, but there is some additional data that requires a login. Trying to find a good pattern on how to set up the security is difficult. Does OAuth using Active Directory work with the WAB? Any other ideas of the best way to add a login? Thanks, Chris

Royce, This is a bug that esri knows about. I added the widget outside of the anchor bar container, and it works correctly. They are supposed to fix this in November. Not sure when the new version is actually coming out. Chris

Well, it seems to work in IE now, but not in Chrome or Firefox. I get a 502 error when it tries to bring up the Launchpad-icons.woff and lanchpad-icons.ttf I'm not really sure what to do about that.

Hey, The icon symbols for the default widgets display correctly when I am on my network computer, but when I look at the app from outside the network, the icons are just letters. This happens on the home extent button, locate me, overview map and the search tools. I added the .woff application/x-font-woff to the mime types in the IIS manager. Is there something else that I need to do to get the symbols to deploy correctly? Thanks, Chris

Hey, I noticed that the onclose event does not fire when I put a widget in the anchor bar controller, but if I put the same widget in the on screen location, the onclose event fires. I tested it with the demo widget without changing anything, and I got different behavior between the two locations. Has anybody noticed this? Thanks, Chris

The problem is that the way the launch pad template works is the widgets load dynamically. If one is placed, the rest of them line up adjacent to it. Then when the first one is removed, the next one fills in where the first one was. This is more complex than just placing it on the screen. I only wanted to move them over a bit to keep them from covering the navigation buttons.

I don't have much, just what you said to put in the config.json { "legend":{ "arrangement": 0, "autoUpdate": true, "respectCurrentMapScale": true }, "position" : { "left" : 25, "relativeTo" : "map" } }

Daniel, That did not change anything. I think that it must be somewhere else because none of the widgets have a position tag, and they line up adjacent to where the previous one was placed.

I am using the launch pad template, and when I open the widgets, they line up on top of the navigation buttons on the left side. The widgets all line up beside one another, and I can't seem to find where to adjust the behavior. I would like them to start just right of the navigation buttons. Does anybody know how to do this? Thanks, Chris

What coordinates are you getting back before you try to convert to lat long? Are you sure that you are in web Mercator?

Anand, This is what I use: MapPoint mapPoint = Map.ScreenToMap(screenPoint); Geometry.NormalizeCentralMeridian(mapPoint) as ESRI.ArcGIS.Client.Geometry.MapPoint; var webMercator = new WebMercator(); var result = webMercator.ToGeographic(mapPoint) as MapPoint; Chris

Hey, I am trying to bind a long term token to the map services in xaml, without much luck. What is the best way to do this? I can't seem to figure out how to do a static property or a dependency property. Is this possible? thanks, Chris
