New functionality Civil 3D COGO points are recognized as point feature geometries for web features and document feature layers. You can modify existing point features to COGO points using the Assign Default Symbol user interface if working within AutoCAD Civil 3D. You can import an Autodesk Geodata ESPG number to assign the Esri coordinate system definition using the Coordinate System user interface or the Esri_CoordinateSystem command. Enhanced attachments support now includes the ability to add and remove attachments on supported web feature layers. Support for GUID type fields has been added, which includes global ID fields. Expanded support for property fields includes Angle/Rotation and the textValue of annotation features. User interface changes New symbol setting options have been added to the Assign Default Symbol user interface to accommodate COGO points and the redrawing of symbols according to user settings. New Redraw context menu option for point feature layers to redraw point symbols based on the current point symbol settings. New integrated web help and AutoLISP documentation formatting. The Attachments user interface has been updated with new add and delete attachment options. New ArcGIS for AutoCAD AutoLISP functions and commands (esri_attributes_uniqueValues) | This function returns a list of the unique values for a specified field. (esri_feature_changeElementType) | This function changes the element type of a selection set of point features. (esri_featurelayer_applysymbol) | This function replaces the selected set of point features of the specified feature layer with the provided block insert entity. (esri_featurelayer_getattributes) | This function returns a list of associated lists of all the attributes of all the features of the specified feature layer in the drawing. (esri_featurelayer_getDefaultElementType) | This function returns an associated list of element settings. (esri_featurelayer_setDefaultElementType) | This function sets the default element type of a point feature layer and if successful, returns those settings. (esri_webfeaturelayer_AddAttachment) | This function attaches a file to a feature of a web feature layer that supports attachments and where the user's role supports editing or higher. (esri_webfeaturelayer_hasedits) | This function returns a list of true if the web feature layer contains edits that have not yet been committed to the source feature service. (esri_webfeaturelayer_listAttachments) | This function returns a list of attached file names as strings from a specified web feature entity. (esri_webfeaturelayer_extract) | This function converts a web feature layer to a document feature layer. (esri_webfeaturelayer_pausetracking) | Pauses the tracking of modification edits on web feature layer features used to track which features should be updated as modified when a web feature layer is synchronized. (esri_webfeaturelayer_restoretracking) | Restores the tracking of modification edits on web feature layer features used to track which features should be updated as modified when a web feature layer is synchronized. (esri_webfeaturelayer_setModified) | This function overrides the modification editing tracking value for an existing feature. (esri_webfeaturelayer_supportsAttachment) | This function verifies whether a web feature layer supports attachments by returning a list of true, or a list of false and a message if it does not. -esri_coordinatesystem command | This command includes a new option to import an Autodesk Geodata ESPG number to assign the Esri coordinate system definition. esri_featurelayer command (Redraw option) | This command option redraws a point feature layer according to the current default symbol setting.

Hello Don, A default value for any field can be specified during the Feature Class creation workflow in ArcGIS Pro. I would think when a hosted feature layer is created the default values can be set at time of creation as well, or perhaps modified after the layer is created from the data view. ArcGIS Pro > Assign Default To Field (Data Management) For a more specific answer perhaps a case with Esri Technical Support would be better suited to the workflow you might require.

Hello, Thanks for writing and using ArcGIS in your workflows. From what I understand here we are working with ArcGIS Pro which contains contour lines. This file is exported to a DWG file and opened in AutoCAD where the contours look fine as displayed in the cadContour.png. The issue comes in when the drawing is rotated within 3D as displayed by the perspective.png and smallPieceContourLine.png screen captures. If we do nothing to the contour lines in the drawing file then their elevation will be zero and we have nothing really to look at in 3D since the Z-value is the same for all contours. From your other picture, esri_elevateToField.png, the elevations of these contours were updated to reflect each elevation from the value within the Contour attribute field, however, it would appear from the screen capture there is no Coordinate System set. I did not test this entire workflow, but in general when I rotate the 3D perspective the contours I have do display at different elevations (z-values). Would it be possible to provide us with the following: 1) The ArcGIS Pro file. 2) The DWG file. If you would rather not post them here you are welcome to message me privately. Thanks, Dan

Hello, What you are seeing as the default date has nothing to do with the Autodesk product, per se, but actually enterprise database technology. The date you are seeing, 1/1/1970, is a universal default date called (EPOCH or Unix time). Here are a few pages that mention this: ArcGIS Arcade > Date functions ArcGIS Survey123 > Epoch time and decimal time Wikipedia > Unix time ArcGIS Blog > Discusses UTC time If you were to open the same Web Feature Layer in the web Map Viewer those <NULL> fields would actually be blank. However, in Autodesk verticals for the null numeric or date field the null value is actually filled in with what looks like a number and or in this case a date when in fact this is a default place holder. I you want to avoid seeing the default of "1/1/1970" a default date value could be set on the ArcGIS side that is then displayed instead within ArcGIS for AutoCAD, like so:

Hello, Apologies on the delay in answering your post. I remember reading this and thought it had been answered. Thanks for using ArcGIS for AutoCAD! AFA already has a few ways to accomplish what I believe to understand you are asking for. First there is an AutoLISP routine, esri_webfeaturelayer_add (AutoLISP), allowing the user to add a Web Feature Layer with a definition query to filter the features that are added to the drawing session. Another option would be to use the "Select features by attributes" item from the Esri Contents pane found from right-clicking the Web Feature Layers.

Hello, Thanks for using ArcGIS for AutoCAD! I am not sure if by "default" you actually mean you would like to favorite your most used Coordinate System, but you do mention this about ArcGIS Pro. ArcGIS for AutoCAD does allow the user to favorite a number of their most frequently used Coordinate Systems. Once the CS has been selected (highlighted), right-click and a context menu opens to reveal "Add to favorites". Check out number 5 in the online help "Coordinate System Selector user interface".

Hello @MonikaWheat88, I appreciate the URL for the service in question. If we review the fields we see the field named "TYPE" contains the domain names we are looking for. However, scrolling down the REST page just under these fields to the TYPE heading we see there are only two of the five domains we are expecting (Additional and Main). ArcGIS for AutoCAD is reading from the REST endpoints TYPE section to determine the domain list. Perhaps you can determine what caused this during publishing, but if not I would suggest calling Esri Technical Support > Enterprise Usage. The Enterprise EXT team would support ArcGIS for AutoCAD. Let me know if I can be of any further assistance. Kind regards, Dan

Hello @MonikaWheat88, First, thanks for using ArcGIS for AutoCAD! I did a quick test using a short dataType field and text dataType field with no issues when the layer was added to AutoCAD. Would it be possible to get the REST URL to this layer you are experience this behavior? You can send me a private email if you do not want to post it here. Otherwise, I suggest you contact Esri Technical Support for assistance on this post. Kind regards, Dan

Hello JYI, Thank you for using ArcGIS GeoEvent Server in your workflows! I have some thoughts and questions. 1) A WFS service is XML based, why are we using the "Poll an External Website for GeoJSON" instead of the "Poll an External Website for XML" Input connector? 2) You mention your configured polling input was working in the past. This makes me ask what has changed? 3) You mention this WFS service has 200,000 features and you are including "&count=20000". Is there a reason for this additional parameter in the request? I would think when you ask for the 20,000 features you will always get the same features. Keep in mind that if the service does contain 200,000 features and the service is configured to allow a query of only 2,000 the GeoEvent input has no way to page this WFS Service (or any service) for the other 198,000 features. If paging needs to be implemented, it will have to be part of a bridge between the WFS server and GeoEvent Server. I hope this helps.

Hello Michal, In AutoLISP and Common LISP the backslash is considered an escape character. So, if we want a literal backslash it must be escaped. Hello Vicente, It appears you posted the error twice. I replied with the following information in your original post: I appreciate the translated post and especially the screen captures, thank you for this. I think the user settings file ArcGIS for AutoCAD creates and updates with a users ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise organizational connections is corrupt. This settings file for ArcGIS for AutoCAD is named, ApplicationSettings.json and is located at: C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\ESRI\ArcGIS for AutoCAD\400 Let's try the following steps to get you back up and running: 1) Make sure all Autodesk products are not running. 2) Open Windows File Explorer, locate and delete the ApplicationSettings.json file. 3) Start Autodesk Map 3D and see that the ArcGIS for AutoCAD splash screen appears. 4) If not not send a screen capture of the errors. I look forward to hearing from you!
