Hello @StephanieDonoghue, Would it be possible for you to submit an Esri Technical Support case on this behavior please? Support could gather details around this behavior and also check the layers being used. Kind regards, Dan

Hello @francogalli, I am really unsure how to respond since as far as I know I provided the previous user the answer they needed which should be the same answer you require given you claim to have the same issue. I do not know what your data entails from an ArcGIS Pro perspective, but in general it should be the same since ArcGIS Pro can read the drawing file natively. If you used other CAD tools from the ArcGIS Pro side then the attribute tables will match the drawing from export. ArcGIS for AutoCAD will work in all Autodesk AutoCAD verticals (AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Map 3D, etc.). I hope this helps. If not please provide additional details to the issue.

Hello, Based on your provided screen capture it would appear my form example was just cut and pasted into the URL text box. That example URL is not going to work for you. The URL just provides the format needed for your particular ArcGIS Enterprise URL. You might need to talk with your IT and or GIS Manager to find out the correct URL to enter in ArcGIS for AutoCAD. Kind regards, Dan

A shortcut is installed out of the box for Civil 3D 2022 and earlier. AutoCAD as Civil 3D is an issue because it treats Plain AutoCAD as Civil 3D and creates Coordinate Geometry (COGO) points but cannot. BUG-000163959 Running Civil 3D as AutoCAD crashes when a point layer is added. Run AutoCAD (Plain) and or Civil 3D. Do not use the shortcut "Civil 3D as AutoCAD" with ArcGIS for AutoCAD 420 and above.

Hello Caitlin, Thanks for assisting your Engineer with setting up ArcGIS for AutoCAD! I would really like to know the format of the URL you entered in the Manage Portals box of ArcGIS for AutoCAD (AFA). You mention nothing happens when they try to sign-in which from other posts here it sounds like the URL includes the port number. AFA provides examples of the required format of the URL. You can use a private message if you prefer. I wonder if instead the current format is something more like https://machinename.domain.com:7443/arcgis. As for requirements of ArcGIS Enterprise for AFA, there are non other than the deployment is functioning correctly.

Hey Derek, Yes, I can confirm a User with just Viewer privileges is allowed to add layers and just view them in AFA. Any layer the user can see: My user does not own any content so this page should be blank as it is: I hope this helps.

Hey Derek, For this type of issue it would be best if you could submit a case with Esri Technical Support for the Enterprise-Extension Team. They can assist you with trouble shooting this behavior and walk you through checking logs and this user's permissions on the ArcGIS Enterprise. Kind regards, Dan

Hello Derek, Thanks for already installing 430! User permissions is not something within ArcGIS for AutoCAD causing this behavior. AFA just passes this login information the user enters to the ArcGIS Organization as needed. When the user is on the Add Data UI and signed in what can they see when they select "My Organization" under the ArcGIS Organization? If the user does not own any content the user will not have any layers listed on the "My Content" tab. What can this particular user see as far as content when they are signed-in to this ArcGIS Enterprise using a browser?

Hey @yigalm, I believe what you are after can be accomplished by chaining a few AutoLISP functions together. To extract the object data value(s) use these Map3D LISP functions. Then use this AFA AutoLISP function to set the AFA attributes from the values returned from above: You can also submit ideas you have for AFA at ArcGIS for AutoCAD Ideas. Kind regards, Dan

Hello @yigalm, You can also take advantage of these Object Data Tables (ODT) in AutoCAD Civil 3D too. However, ArcGIS Pro nor the ArcGIS for AutoCAD (AFA) sharing process does not read these ODTs. I do see your drawing already contains an AFA Document Feature Layer (DFL) which is a great start. A DFL is AFA bridging the gap between CAD and GIS natively in the drawing file. With that "Area" DFL you can create most any type of data field needed. I see you are calling a date field with the ODT you have. So the Area DFL should have a field of Date/Time. Now when you open the drawing in ArcGIS Pro and or share the drawing layers with ArcGIS Online and or ArcGIS Enterprise your ODT details are part of the DFL field and will therefore be part of the layer. Kind regards, Dan

Hello @Y_Chau, I do not recall ever seeing this behavior before. Would you be able to submit an Esri Technical Support case so an Analyst can look at this with you? We also might need to test the actual data so a support case would be best here. Please submit the case to the Enterprise-Extensions (EXT) team. Kind regards, Dan
