Hi Jonathan, Thanks for your input. I was just hoping for an "Easy" way to duplicate my server into my test environment. I have read in other posts that using backup/restore to a different server was also problematic. I will continue my quest and post here if I have any break-throughs! Thanks again, Janice.

I had my Database guy add an instance of MS SQL Server 2016 to my SQL Server vm and now all of my connections to that server are broken! Has anyone else had any luck doing this? I was going to test a geodatabase upgrade to SQL 2016 but now I just want my server back online! I am running Windows Server 2012 for my SQL Server machines. I have ArcGIS for Server 10.4.1 installed on a physical machine with Windows Server 2012. Also, I have installed the Microsoft ODBC Driver 13 on the GIS Server. I cannot access the SQL Server from ArcCatalog or Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio 2019 or 2012. Another interesting fact: an instance of 2016 was installed on two of my SQL servers but only the one that I restarted has the issue... I can still access the SQL Server which I did not restart after the installation of the 2016 instance of SQL Server. Any ideas why an instance of 2016 would cause problems? Thanks, Janice.

I have read an earlier post in which this appears: If you need to move services from one machine to another, you can go through the following: 1) Move the config-store and directories to a shared location using the Admin API 2) Install Server on the new machine 3) Join the new Server to the existing site 4) Remove the old machine from the site. 5) Set the config-store and directories back to a local drive on the machine or wherever they were initially. What I am curious about is would both server machines work after these steps if the config-store and directories were copied back to local drives on each machine?

I am in the process of testing an upgrade from ArcGIS for Server 10.4.1 to 10.7.1. I am creating a duplicate server to use for testing so that I do not interfere with our production server. I have been able to script a great deal of stuff but am curious if I could be using "Join Site" to more easily create a test server. If I were to follow the directions for joining a second server to my site, could I then separate the two servers and end up with two duplicate servers? What would this process look like and would it cause any issues with my production site? Has anyone been successful with this approach? Thanks, Janice.

To anyone interested... I did find out that I can format "obfuscated" (Thanks for the word Robert!) json and JavaScript files in Microsoft Visual Studio simply by selecting "Format Document" from the Edit Menu. Totally cool! Now, I just need to figure out how to "re-obfuscate" the code when deploying to my web server. Janice.

Robert, I found that I have already downloaded WAB 2.8 and will update my Launchpad Theme and see what happens when I make the changes there. Thanks, Janice.

Robert, Thanks for your help. I made some changes to config.json and the header moved down in the app. The logo did not change size. I am wondering if I need to get the latest version of WAB and start with a fresh Launchpad Theme. It looks like the version number in my app is at 2.14. This was downloaded from ArcGIS Online just last week. I may be confused with the WAB on ArcGIS Online vs the WAB that gets installed on my computer. If that is the case, can you tell me where the best place is to get the latest version to install on my computer? Thanks, Janice.

I have been trying to resize my logo in an Web AppBuilder app which I have downloaded to my own web site. I created the app through web appbuilder on ArcGIS Online and selected the Launchpad Theme. I have been following the previous posts and believe I have made the correct changes as suggested by Robert. However, I am unable to change the size of my logo. I can change it manually if I make the changes in the developer tools for IE but the changes that affect the size are listed as inline styles and I am not sure where to get to them. I am attaching a screen shot of my launchpad.css, a screen shot of the logo in the app, and a screen shot of the developer tools window where I can manually make the changes. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks, Janice.

Hi All, Is it possible (of course it is!) to display a different web map in my web app when the user is on a mobile device? I believe I could redirect the user to an entirely different web app when they hit the url with a mobile device. However, I am interested in know if there is a way to just change the web map in my app. The reason I want to do this is because the functionality I have in my app does not work on the mobile when I am using clusters in the web map. I would like to use a clustered layer when the user is on a desktop and a non-clustered layer when the user is on a mobile device. Any ideas? Thanks, Janice.

Hi All, I have created a web app using web app builder and have downloaded the files so that I can add a custom widget and host the app on my web server. I did not have any trouble getting the custom widget to display on the desktop version of my app but am not seeing it on the mobile version. I have tried adding the custom widget into the "mobileLayout" section of the config.json for my app but am still not seeing it. When I added it to the mobile layout section, the other widgets did move around so I am suspecting that it may be displaying somewhere. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Janice.

I have created an app using web app builder and downloaded the files to host on my web server. When I want to make an edit to one of the downloaded js files, the file is compressed (all the white space has been removed). Is there a way to get white space back into these files so I can read them without adding my own white space? For an example, see the main.js file under the jimu.js folder in a downloaded app. Thanks, Janice.

Hi all, I have a web appbuilder application which I have downloaded and am hosting on my own ArcGIS Server 10.4.1. The application seems to work fine in a desktop environment but the popups do not display on mobile devices. I tried shrinking my desktop browser to a mobile size and the popups do change to mobile popups but so far I have had no luck getting them to display on a mobile device. I am using a point layer which is also on my server and a map that is in AGOL. The points are clustered in the map and the popups are turned on and work everywhere except on mobile devices. The app can be accessed here: https://skagitcounty.net/Maps/CrimeMap. Thanks for any help, Janice.
