@KimberlyMcCallum So, from a non-coder pov, I've found that creating data views & joins in the right order is helpful. Pick the right view, then when you connect data, the max and avg data elements are easier to tease out. I've also found that including a filter for users to pick returns is helpful too. I've been creating returns for Covid-19 mobile testing centre returns - in my data I've created a view for a specific element then, in that view, ensured I've set the sort. Getting the max or avg etc is then very easy. For more complex data, I've started at the hosted feature service level and created a view layer, then from there started the filtering. I realise it sounds like a faff, but I've also found that over the last few weeks I've been able to trim down some of the steps. Realise this may not be quite the reply you're looking for, but may help with some ideas.

@Kevin_McIntyre We're not a big local government authority here in Scotland, so our asset management data needs and aspirations are not huge. If we can get to a point in the near future where more of our services are taking a data driven approach, I'll be happy. Even happier that I'll be moving them towards improved data standards, interoperability, reuse, transparency etc.. Again, thanks for the advice - hearing experiences are infinitely useful. I'm putting together a Data, Research, and Innovation playbook within ExpBuilder and have just added a Code section to "bookmark" some of your info. Point taken re training, however, I usually do a little bit of homework first to have an evidence based approach to proposals. If people can see some tangible benefits they are easier to "manipulate".

@Kevin_McIntyre Thank you for taking the time to respond, and thank you for the link too. For many years my background was using, then managing, Pitney Bowe's Confirm asset management system, so you can perhaps appreciate why I'm looking for that little bit more from AGOL, especially as I can see the real opportunities within the platform. We have Notebooks in the cross-hairs to examine how we can do some programmed dataset housekeeping bringing in some background automation. I just need to free up some "after work" time and start my journey. We're also just moving to an Enterprise architecture, so hopefully will also be able to bring in some of the FME processes I run elsewhere. Keep an eye out for more questions, it'll be obvious when I start looking a little deeper into things 🙂

@JeffreyOlandt I've been putting together a data playbook for demo purposes and have been looking at how, for doc control etc., we can work with Sharepoint. Not looked at PowerBI as yet, but suspect it's the same. So, embedding a Sharepoint site doesn't really work, especially if that site is in anyway controlled by a login. Given Sharepoint is all about doc management, I've looked at alternatives (not any wizard with code to include a login prompt). https://experience.arcgis.com/experience/20deda8430e14318aa8439f519e90815/ So, with the above experience, just head to playbook, scenarios, schools, and the first North Lan scenario - you'll see I've just linked off a Sharepoint blueprint document which is on an external instance. It does mean I already have to be authenticated before hand, which is ok as I only have to do that once every 5 days. You can link of to document libraries too. I know this is far from a solution, but might give you an alternative to just a straight forward embed.

App activity is annoying in Collector and, iirc, Field Maps too. If collecting data in the field having the app active is a must, some inspections an data requirements can take time. ESRI's Quick Capture remains active, why can't we have "slow" capture active too.

@ttamba Hi, you're most definitely not alone. A solution seems to tantalisingly close! I really want my organisation to rationalise its asset management systems; highway, land & assets, tree, and other pieces of infrastructure inspections. It's the big volume items and that visualisation of a completed inspection that's almost pivotal to a complete move towards ESRI. Over the last year or so I've thought of "What ifs". For example; on selection for a new inspection the coordinates of an asset are passed to the inspection table thus allowing the table point to be drawn and symbolised. Likewise on the reverse, an "inspected" flag is pushed from the table to the asset which would then just mean the reset is a simple calculate field on the asset to reissue the inspections. If I had the coding skills, I'm sure I could get closer but this has not been my background - was a field grunt for most of my days. Perhaps, with the new map viewer and Field Maps Esri are looking towards something that would give us lesser mortals a solution.

Yes, Field Maps certainly is a move towards a less cluttered app structure - will be interested to see how this develops. I also agree with the "to be developed upon", I'm using ExpBuilder more and more to pull together multiple elements whilst looking towards a more consistent look and feel for our services/end users. Oh, I've used the join & visibility trick already - works, but could work better.

@CraigMueller1 I'm a complete newbie to Arcade, I could do with some help on where the "NextSequenceValue('PipeIDSeq')" goes into a form and is this the only code that's needed? I do realise the PipeID will have to reference the correct field. Many thanks and so sorry for such a basic question.

Could this be added as to the ideas page? Really frustrating especially the 1899 date - not sure why ESRI think this is acceptable.

I hope this ability is included, would be very useful. We have our own site names, but I'd like to include an address and have this populated from the drop pin.

I wish there was more we could do with the inspection table, especially where it comes to ensuring the right data is being inspected in the field. If I remember correctly, Arcade expressions are only of use in AGOL and don't transfer to the Collector App (I could be completely wrong and if so I should find out how to learn Arcade). We have a number of inspections in the field, one for over 20k objects, an other 100 object inspected every 14 days. I realise AGOL is not an asset management system as such, so we will run into difficulties, however, would be really nice if ESRI progressed development somewhat in that direction. Like you, I've had to create a join layer which is used to symbolise inspected/not inspected objects - I have to reset this join every cycle. If anyone else can help, that would be great!

You've not indicated where the slideshow should be, or included the isolated story map link for reference, however, if you're referring to a couple of slides of the Santa Fe church, it's working. The mouse over highlight direction arrows appear and can I flick between the two images. I've used Edge and changed to a few browser sizes and all okay.

If possible the development of the menu widget to allow the adding of desired pages to a menu, more than just hiding pages from the menu. Use case; I've a multi-page app - these pages are all referenced in the menu. From some of these pages I've hidden theme pages with a further sub-structure. I'd like to present the theme page with a menu navigating this sub-structure. For consistency I'd like to place a menu rather than relying on buttons or "tiles". Grab showing main pages, theme pages and their sub-structure pages.

@Marokapara As much as Scroll Zoom works on desktop, if you use the zoom control on the map, it doesn't. Check you've not accidentally turned the zoom control off here; The issue with the pop-up, it may be since the pop-up is so large it's too big to display on a small screen I'd look at creating a card to sit below a mobile map so you can try to squeeze in as much information as you can. When creating an ExpB app think of each of the device sizes as different audiences and therefore requiring a different data story. A mobile app may not require a big map area, when you want to show information....or a large map area with a small pop-up. Every pixel is at a premium.

@JohnPaulAlbana So, when you switch to different base devices ExpB will set a default "Auto" layout setting - I find switching to custom and then, if you have the patience, create a new app by manipulating the visible widgets etc. You can almost create three very unique applications.
