Tim, Thank you so much. Yes, I tried so many times and I now think that the software is giving me some glitch.... I now know that I am doing nothing wrong... I will contact ESRI and see what they can do... On a side note: I registered as GeoMENTOR and have talked to a middleschool who is willing to get on the ConnectED program and I will be working with them through Esri pre-created courses,,, Do you happen to know who I should talk to at ESRI to get someone to help the school set up their account and get free software? Very new at this and excited to get out there and learn with the kids.. have a great day. Christine

Tim, I am attaching the error message. I am doing geocoding in ArcMap. Using the GisOnline geocoding and exactly the steps that you had sent me earlier. 1. Right-click Pubs table > Geocode Addresses Chose an Address Locator to use > World Geocode Service (ArcGIS Online) Sign in to ArcGIS Online (if necessary) Geocode Addresses dialog box settings: Address Input Fields > Multiple Fields option Address: Address Neighborhood: <None> City: City Subregion: <None> Region: State Postal: ZIP PostalExt: <None> Country: <None> Now I am thinking that this has something to do with my settings... What do you think? I did geocode over 9000 addresses a week ago and it went smooth... I am not sure what this means... Thank you again

Oh I read your answer wrong Tim. So do you think then that the issue is computer related? Because I tried few times and it says geocoding encountered error. And that all I get. Tks a lot Sent from my iPhone

It just says an error happen while geocoding addresses. I am using the geocoding in ArcMap(first option) Here are my steps Here are the steps I followed: 1. Hello, I will like to use ArcMap 1. map where all of my classmates are from on a world map... 2. also the places I have visited (for this, I will like to use line to connect the places. Hello, I am looking to create a map of Bars and Pubs for use in my crime analysis. Though, there is no data from the City of Savannah GA GIS that singles out bars and pubs... There is actually nothing on Building names and/or use.(at least not that I can find). So, I just googled BARS and PUBS in Savannah GA and there is a map with all that I need. except it is not in Excel or shape file. How do I generate such data from google? Thanks a lot. Carole

Hello, I have been able to publish my crime data to ArGIS online and as I Filtered to only show JAN-2015 crime, I tried to run a HotSPOT analysis and I get this error. Can someone please tell me what is causing it? Thank you so much. Attached the screenshot of the arror Carole

Hello, I am trying to map crime in GISonline, though, it only accepts up to 1000 features, So I decided to split my data[that I have made a shape file of] into months... I opened the property and did "Date" = date '2015-01%' to only get January.. But it is not working. 1. Am I doing it wrong? 2. how do I prepare the data to use in GIS online. Hello, I am following some tutorial and using my own data and its been difficult.. 1. I need to get my data to look as the one in the tutorial and I have tried looking and cannot find data in my Census Block-Group that shows the following column: OWNER_CY, RENTER_CY, VACANT_CY etc... I have attached the files for the Tutorial(using LA) and my files(using Chatham County GA)... 2. How can I get turn my block into CENTROID? like the one used in the tutorial? I am Using Chatham County data.... I have done few joins but cannot fine the data with RENTER Thank you so much in advance for your help... Cristine
