Bezier curve handles should have an option to snap to parallel and/or snap perpendicular to other segments/features. For a bezier curve to be tangential to another curve or straight segment the handle vector needs to be exactly parallel to the other line. This would make drawing smoother features like roads much easier.

I know with traditional geodatabase replication having the parent at a higher release version than the child (i.e. 10.3 to 10.1) doesn't work. Can you make it work via a GeoData service replication?

I just looked in the 10.3.1 issues pdf and I was thinking of BUG-000082586: "Pop-ups do not work in Web AppBuilder for layers that are turned off in the webmap when the application is published." Ill assume its fixed then.

Hmm that looks like some of the internal workings of the WAB server. I dont see where I could insert the proxy settings. It looks to me like sitemap\config.json is where it should go but in sitemap\copy-list.txt that json file isnt copied to the new apps as they are created/imported. It has to be in there somewhere and I'm determined to dig it out. If that file isnt copied than the config.json in the app folder is freshly created each time, so there must be a default coded in somewhere. edit: found a clue in client\builder\main.js - nope nevermind.

Possibly. In my case though I was not getting popups on any layer that isnt visible when the app is launched including layers that are on but have a scale range set to below the initial extent. Id to a test but I'm fighting a database issue at the moment.

I do not know the bug number but in Re: Identify Features, Julia Guard says the bug is known and had been assigned. The tweaks in that and another post work just fine but I wanted to check before I made them. edit: Were on AGS 10.2.2 with 10.1 enterprise GDBs if it matters any. I know one person said they had no issues if they uploaded their data to AGOL instead of self hosting.

That's what I've been doing at the app level. I am going to try putting the settings in the base config.json in WAB so it gets applied to every new/imported app. I know you can do this with the widgets but I've not tried with that particular config. It'll save about 30 minutes of opening every config and entering the settings.

Im useing a proxy on my webserver, which uses the esri web-adapter, and want to know if I can pre configure the proxy settings in the base code of WAB Developer. Its a bit annoying to have to copy and paste in the proxy settings to every map when I export them at a new version.

Is the issue people have been having with popups not working (I had it at the last two versions) still there in WAB 1.2? Id like to tweak the base code before importing the maps from WAB 1.1 instead of having to do each one individually like I did with the first batch I imported when I moved to WAB 1.1.

Im not sure. Looking at the 9.3 docs the syntax is also given as .tool_toolbox but I do not have a way to test if the other syntax works with the pre 10 geoprocessor. It could be that the arcgisscripting module was organized so that everything was a function of the geoprocessor class where arcpy has classes for each toolbox. If I was at work I would look at the arcpy source. Arcpy may just repackage the tool name and inputs as command line for the geoprocessor core, which is in C, but it still needs every tool in there somehow for doc strings and such.

Exactly. The arcpy sitepackage is the only python module Ive seen with this sort of syntax available.

Its any tool, ie Intersect—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop. Look at the syntax section, its tool_toolbox. I am not sure where I saw it (it was a long time ago) but in the arcpy docs somewhere it specifically said you can use either syntax. It works because Ive used both. It never occurred to me to ask but I randomly thought of it today.

Quick question for the python team. Whats the deal with this? Both arcpy.toolbox.tool and arcpy.tool_toolbox work but while the former is more pythonic, the later is what is pushed in the documentation.

I have a spread sheet with a bunch of colors in it and I really dont feel like typing them all in. Can I do this automatically with python? I've opened one and it is a binary file so I would need to know the encoding to use struct on it.
