Hello Jamal NUMAN, Thanks for the response. As per my understanding, I believe it will only calculate the request which are being sent. For e.g. Let's assume I launched a Map Service in "ArcGIS JavaScript Viewer" from Rest API and it sent 4 requests to load/render the data. Then if I zoom in further and it sent out 5 more requests to load the new data. Now, if I zoom out to previous extent, the browser already has the data Cached, so it will not be sending the requests to the Server and the total number of request should be 9. Obviously, the consideration would be that I am not changing the extent in the whole hypothetical process. I tried to capture this with a service from Sample Server 6 (GIF attached), you will notice that first rendering sends a request and then when I zoom in again, it sends a requests to fetch the data but if I zoom-out, it doesn't send a new request as the browser already has that information. This is actually managed by "Etags", to elaborate more about this property below documentation should help: Improve map service display performance—ArcGIS Server | Documentation for ArcGIS Enterprise Hope it helps! Thanks & Regards, Archit

Hello Jamal NUMAN, As per my understanding, It shows "Total requests" i.e. "Total number of requests made by a client to a service for a given time frame.". Which means it will include all the information which you have mentioned above: A user who is panning the map A user who is downloading a service A user who is editing a service Any transaction which is being performed between Server and Client. For more details you can go through the following document: Work with server statistics—ArcGIS Server | Documentation for ArcGIS Enterprise Hope this answers your queries! Thanks & Regards, Archit

Hello Krishan Pareek, Thanks for sharing the details of the problem. As per my understanding, in order to proceed with the projection we would need to follow the process of creating a Local Scene. Basically, The main differences between local scenes and global scenes are that local scenes can display data that has a spatial reference in a local projected coordinate system and the terrain and layers are shown projected on a planar surface rather than on a sphere. Local scenes are best used for displaying or analyzing data at the local or city scale that have a fixed extent in which you work . Local scenes are helpful for urban planning and visualization where you can view campus facilities or building developments. As for the second concern mentioned above, I believe it could be because of the base layer being created in a different reference. I will run some tests on my end and try to confirm the details. I will try to do so as soon as possible. Hope it helps!!

Hello Ali Wieckowicz, As per my understanding, it is not possible to use OAuth 2.0 with a standalone Server. It is feasible if the environment is configured as ArcGIS Enterprise. After a bit of research, I found the following documentation which explains security methodologies available. It states the following: "OAuth 2.0 (OAuth😞 The ArcGIS platform determines user authenticity and a token is supplied to the client app. This token is used in subsequent requests for secured resources. OAuth 2.0 is the recommended methodology to use to sign in your users. Available with ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise version 10.3 and later." Full doc. Hello Peter, As per my understanding this layer is Hotsed of ArcGIS Online, however if you can confirm that it would be great. Could you please try the following: Add the layer to a ne Map and try editing the Layer (is the issue specific to the WebMap)? Could you try checking the response to "applyedits" request using the developer tool? Are you able to update attribute information for any existing feature? Try disabling Editing on the hosted feature layer and re-enable it? Hope it helps!

Hello Thinh Tran Cong, Thanks for trying the suggestions. Just to confirm, what happens when you try to load the newly added scale on the ArcGIS REST API or by adding the service to Map Viewer. Also, try capturing requests made usinf Developer Tool and check the response for those requests, if the tiles fail to load. Hope it help!

Hello Jamal NUMAN, Thanks for the response. I just wanted to to clarify that when you say "off-the-shelf Web App Builder software", what are need we are trying to address. The reason for askig it that as per my understanding the "Web App builder Dev edition" address the same functionalities as the one available with ArcGIS Online plus it gives you the capability to perform customization on your end as well. If its possible to share the business needs, probably those are addressed by the dev edition. Awaiting your response!

Hello Logan Suhr, Thanks a lot for sharing the details. I completely understand your concerns associated to security (as I am bound by that a lot of times as well). However, these logs would do as well. After checking the logs, I noticed that the following message kind of prompts many times: "Validating access to the data store ENCRYPTED_PASSWORD=00022e68377636594f654c3349626674776979525236304b544b6e48764a756b774f4b344d6476674f6851523579413d2a00;SERVER=*MY_SERVER*.LOCAL;INSTANCE=sde:postgresql:*MY_SERVER*.LOCAL,9876;DBCLIENT=postgresql;DB_CONNECTION_PROPERTIES=*MY_SERVER*.LOCAL,9876;DATABASE=db_0m5e1;USER=hsu_zmk63;VERSION=sde.DEFAULT;AUTHENTICATION_MODE=DBMS of type CONNECTION_STRING" This is the validation string for ArcGIS DataStore when it is registered with ArcGIS server. This string is present at several locations. The few locations are: ArcGIS Server ADMIN Endpoint > data > items > enterpriseDatabases > AGS_<Data Store name> edit C > arcgisserver > config-store > data > dsconnections.lst You can copy these to as different location and run a comparison (easiest Diffchecker - Online diff tool to compare text to find the difference between two text files ). You can also try the following: Restart ArcGIS DataStore Service Try Validating ArcGIS DataStore from ArcGIS Server ADMIN Endpoint (this should show the exact error message) Try Restarting "PublishingToolEx" (This can only be done from ArcGIS Server ADMIN Endpoint > services > System) Additionally, I would also checked the logs for any messages associated to validation of SQL Server but couldn't find any. Did we replicate that problem as well and then checked the logs. Furthermore, looking into the point since when this problem surfaced would also help, as in If it was working before and now its not working (Were there any environment changes made during that time, which could cause this). Hope this helps!

Hello Logan Suhr, There a few points where we can start looking, however I would like to clarify when you say "I am not able to validate my existing data stores like the ArcGIS Data Store" , is it ESRI's ArcGIS Data Store of any other Enterprise Database like SQL registered as Database to ArcGIS Server? Additionally, It would also help looking into the following: What authentication are you using when using SQL Server Connection? (Database or Windows or does both cause issues) What is the Version of ArcGIS Enterprise and SQL Server you are trying to register? Are you able to register any other Database from the same SQL Server Instance? (Is the issue specific to this database) Switching ArcGIS Server logging level to "DEBUG" and then perform the same workflow, these will help us in understanding the point of failure? (Would be great if you can share that) Additionally, I also wanted to mention that as per the screenshot shared. For Portal Web Adaptor you have Enabled both "Windows Authentication" and "Anonymous Authentication", that is not the correct configuration. As per my understanding it should be either of that. If you are using AD/"Windows Authentication" with ArcGIS Enterprise Portal, then "Anonymous Authentication" should be disabled and if you are using Portal Tier then "Windows Authentication" should be disabled. I think having both of them enabled is a correct configuration to have. Hope it helps!

Sorato Marques, Thanks for sharing the logs. There are several points, I think we can look at. I did some digging on the ports shown in the logs in regards to when these would be used, kindly find the doc URL below: https://support.microsoft.com/en-in/help/179442/how-to-configure-a-firewall-for-domains-and-trusts As asked by Jonathan Quinn, I think, running a check for firewall and the ports could help. Additionally, searching ESRI docs, I found only one mention of "Connectivity issue" which actually does not have the same error message, kindly find the doc below: Common problems and solutions—Portal for ArcGIS (10.8) | Documentation for ArcGIS Enterprise The reason I think that the issue could be associated to this is "As mentioned in the initial post The connection work properly, but in portal, in the last window, the user can´t add. A red message appear in top of portal. " This makes me think that ArcGIS Enterprise Portal is able to connect to AD but that seems to be breaking (not sure of the reason). Hence, if possible you can try adding the parameter "domainControllerAddress" and "domainControllerMapping" and check if this helps Configure the domain controller used by Portal for ArcGIS—Portal for ArcGIS (10.7 and 10.7.1) | Documentation for ArcG… Hope it helps!
