You may have encountered the issues that MS recalled those patches for. I think that both MS and Esri are working on a possible solution. I would follow the blog that we released: Meltdown and Spectre Processor Vulnerabilities | ArcGIS Blog I know that it mentions Enterprise issues but there are other people having GeoNet threads with issues in Desktop and/or Pro. This is expected behavior: Type the database name in lowercase; upper- and mixed-case object names are not supported for geodatabases in PostgreSQL. After you reconcile and post the editor child versions, you need to reconcile them again so all the changes from the other child versions are brought into the other versions. Hopefully that works.

You can add the Enterprise Geodatabase (EGDB) portion to your existing Oracle DB. All the contents will be held in a different schema within Oracle. You can also create a separate new Oracle DB for the EGDB, it really depends on the what the DBA's prefer and space available. Did you change the name when you restored the DB? No matter which of the methods you use to move your SQL Server database, you cannot rename the database. When you restore a database, for example, you are given the opportunity to restore it with a different name. Don't do this with a geodatabase; you won't be able to connect to it. After you run the reconcile/post of all the versions, you need to run a compress on the geodatabase. The compress process will flush out any "stale" records in the A/D tables.
