One thing you could try is to "cut" up your contours into "smaller segments? This may help with the draw time as each segment is smaller. Another option is to have a generalized copy of the contours for "display" and that would remove a lot of the vertices.

Ryan Kelso One thing to also consider is that many non-ArcGIS clients cannot read SDE BINARY and you have make sure that you update/maintain the indexes (spatial and non-spatial) via ArcGIS tools. If you use SQL Server Geometry then the SQL Server native tools could be used. There are some other potential issues, creating DB views on SDEBINARY is not possible via the GP tools. Create Database View—Help | ArcGIS Desktop Create a database view in ArcGIS Desktop—Help | ArcGIS Desktop If you have specific issues, I would recommend opening a new Esri Support case and having the analyst take a look. There are also many threads on this subject on GeoNet with any different results.

Try rebuilding the spatial index for the feature class. I have seen where a corrupt/stale spatial index could cause this behavior.

Based on the Release notes it looks like each patch has different fixes and would need to be installed 2.1.1 then 2.1.2. Release notes for ArcGIS Pro 2.1—ArcGIS Pro | ArcGIS Desktop I am not 100% but seems like it may be the case. My guess is that the intention is that updates will be performed as available so most Pro installations would already be at 2.1.1.

It may be correct and it is only available with a full version. I would check with Customer Service on this.

You may need to download the "ArcGIS Pro Database Support" files from My Esri. It should give you all the st_libraries that you may need. Picture of ST_Geometry for Oracle on Windows below.

I am not sure, without looking at it in "person". You may want to call into Esri Technical Support and have an analyst take a look at it. That could be the quickest way.

That might cause an issue having a different user name and schema. In the help documentation, we say that the schema and username must match; All database users who will create data must have a schema in the database. That schema must have the same name as the user name. Add logins and users to SQL Server—Help | ArcGIS Desktop Unless that user is granted db_owner (database level) or SYSADMIN (server level) privileges, I would think that error may happen. What happens when you update the schema to: HabitatTestWriter and keep the permissions the same? https://community.esri.com/groups/geodatabase?sr=search&searchId=341e0503-7c05-4bb0-a238-fb55e87ebb01&searchIndex=0

Take a look at the help docs: Microsoft Azure SQL Database requirements for ArcGIS Pro 2.1—Help | ArcGIS Desktop ArcGIS connections to Microsoft Azure SQL Databases and geodatabases in Azure SQL Databases must originate from machines within Microsoft Azure. For best performance, they should originate from machines within the same Azure region. That could be causing the issue.
