Ok I did some testing and its a bug in the lookup app where it applies a search extent in cases it should not. We'll get this fixed in the upcoming release. In the meantime, I think you can work around this by defining a navigation boundary for your app. To do so go to the app configuration and search for Navigation Boundary (or go to Interactivity > Explore Navigate. Enable navigation boundary and then use the configure option to define an extent that includes all of your data. Save and publish the app and it should then allow multiple searches to work as expected. The “I” button should toggle the visibility of the info that appears in the side panel. So if its visible when you first load the app then you click the “I” it will hide it – click the “I” again and it will appear. This is how it behaves in the default app: https://www.arcgis.com/apps/instant/nearby/index.html Are you seeing different behavior in your app? If so and if your app is public can you share the link?

Looks like in your web map you have charts displayed. We don't have doc for this but the url params I mentioned in my post above can be used with instant apps and have the same format as those used by web apps in the Online document I linked to. @LindseyStone this may be a documentation issue. The data/maps that worked in the older zone lookup should still function in the new version. Do you have a web map that isn't working in the new version but did work in the old.

Thanks for the feedback. @RyanBohan We are working on a redesign for our info/splash windows for the Q1 2023 release of ArcGIS Online. I think it makes sense to remove the close button in cases where there is a requirement to agree before closing the window.

In some apps you can define custom url params in the app configuration. In those apps you choose the layer and field name you want to use. The apps also support defining extent. center, level webmap (or webscene). find and marker. I put together a sample app to try and repro. When I run this app for the first time with the url param and a custom zoom level applied (using the level url param) it zooms to the location and shows the popup.
