My layers are still not showing up in the order I have them on the map. They're actually showing up in almost the exact opposite order that I want them in, except if I adjust the order they show up on the map, they still don't change their order in the app. Am I missing something?

Did you ever get a response on how to reorder the layers? I assumed the returned information would reflect the way the layers are organized in the map the app is based on, but that does not appear to be the case. Which is dumb.

Phil, Thank you so much, I would have never figured out the extra rows and columns thing. I just did a save as csv from an Excel doc, so I must have deleted data but not the column/row. I was also unaware of that the # won't work. I've made the changes and published the survey and we're good to go now! Thank you!

Phil, Attached are links to Dropbox files for the survey form and the media folder csv. Survey Questions Media Folder CSV Semi-unrelated, but is there a way to directly upload a file to my comment? I feel like I've seen it done before, but I can't figure out how to do it, hence the Dropbox links.

I have created 2 surveys over the last couple months and tried to use the PullData function to populate a geopoint question, and to fill in a notes field based on data in a csv in the media folder. In Survey123 Connect, I do not receive any errors during the publishing process, but once I try to access that survey online, I receive an error that renders the survey useless. I can close the error message, but the survey does not populate the way it should and will not let me submit anything. It functions fine in the Survey123 app, but I'm trying to move everyone away from using the app. Web based surveys are much easier for the frequency with which the surveys are updated, rather than trying to make sure everyone who uses the app updates the survey every time I republish the survey. Is it known why the PullData function doesn't work for newly published web forms? Older surveys that use the PullData function don't seem to have a problem, only newly published surveys.

Here are my parameters. For buffer distance, and canopy heights, I just accepted the values it auto-populated. Let me know if you want me to email you a copy of my data.

I was finally able to create acceptable multipatch buildings, but I'm running into an issue with trying to create schematic trees. ERROR 010423: C:\Users\james\Documents\ArcGIS\Packages\LocalGovernment3Dbasemaps_B9FE7822-0621-4271-8E3D-FA3C4CA7C26B\p20\Intermediate.gdb\VegSinkRaster does not have valid statistics as required by the operation. Failed to execute (SetNull). I tried to run the Calculate Statistics tool on VegSinkRaster, but I'm still receiving this message. Is there something else I can do to get this task to work? Thank you!

We're starting to use the Crowdsource platform for citizen requests, but many of the employees where I work are used to receiving emails when a citizen request comes in. I tried using this script to do this, but I'm receiving an error message that I'm unsure of what it means or how to fix it. Error message: Traceback (most recent call last): File "C:\Users\james\Desktop\Pothole Email.py", line 33, in <module> smtpObj.sendmail(FROM, TO, message) File "C:\Python27\ArcGIS10.5\lib\smtplib.py", line 735, in sendmail self.rset() File "C:\Python27\ArcGIS10.5\lib\smtplib.py", line 469, in rset return self.docmd("rset") File "C:\Python27\ArcGIS10.5\lib\smtplib.py", line 394, in docmd return self.getreply() File "C:\Python27\ArcGIS10.5\lib\smtplib.py", line 368, in getreply raise SMTPServerDisconnected("Connection unexpectedly closed") SMTPServerDisconnected: Connection unexpectedly closed Any suggestions? Gert, The borough I work for is less than 3 square miles, with the LAS dataset being just about the same area at a resolution of 1.5 feet. I did not have this problem of taking 8+ hours before the update. I was trying to run it again with a different projected coordinate system but after it ran for 6 hours, I had to stop the process, so I will be trying again soon. I will look into the Fuse Roof Form Segments task and the Layer 3D to Feature Class tool for my other issue. Thank you!

I have two issues now with it. Extracting an elevation surface used to take at most an hour, but I have tried to do this multiple times and has taken 8+ hours each time, one of them taking 63 hours to run. I'm currently in the middle of trying to extract elevation surfaces and it has thus far taken 4 hours. It has also generated a DSM/DTM/nDSM that sits about 800 ft in the air, which is why I'm running it again, with different parameters and environments this time. My other issue is with editing the 3D buildings once they are generated. For the buildings that I have generated, both with this version and the last version, I want to make them more realistic. My borough has many twin and row homes, and the roof forms generated often end up looking like this (in addition to no matter what I do, they will not sit on the ground): The Roof Form Extraction Process page from the Local Government 3D Basemaps solution page describes editing the Roof Form attributes, but then doesn't explain how to turn the newly updated polygon attribute information into the multipatch feature class I'm looking for. I made changes to hundreds of buildings in the RoofForm polygon layer generated in the building creation process, but these changes don't modify the multipatch 3D buildings. The editing that can be done to a multipatch feature class is proving to be very difficult, and much more time consuming than editing the polygon attributes. This issue may be more user error than the program itself, but I am not finding any resources that describe how to make changes to, and then update the multipatch feature class that isn't manually moving vertices. Please let me know if there's something I'm missing, but currently, though the process may generate less non-specific error messages, it's just as frustrating.

Honestly, the only thing I can tell you is keep trying. My experience is that I get the tools to work sometimes, but not every time. I just kept running through it, and eventually it works. I'm fairly certain that I don't change the parameters I'm using, so I don't know why it only works sometimes. Half the time my data is floating hundreds of feet in the air and nothing I do can get it to sit on the ground. There is not nearly enough information in the Local Government 3D Basemaps solution both online and in the individual task steps to explain to me what's happening and why. Essentially, my tip for you is that I hit "Run" and hope for the best.

Daniel, I'm receiving the exact same error that G. Andrew Fricker received. I was able to get it to work successfully once, but was not satisfied with the results, and therefore went through the whole process again. I am receiving the error in the Local Government 3D Basemaps solution, in the Create LOD2 Buildings first step. I followed every step through from the beginning when I decided to re-do the LOD2 buildings, so did I somehow miss a step this time through that didn't calculate statistics? Where in the Local Government 3D Basemap solution would I find the step to calculate statistics? Can I just pick up from that step, re-do it while calculating statistics, and continue forward? Or will I have to repeat the whole process again?

Brandon, Any idea when v3.5 will officially be released? I am looking to try out this feature, but when I try to download the beta from the Early Adopter Community, the set-up wizard opens and then doesn't do anything, doesn't have any buttons to click on and I need to force close out of it. Thank you!
