You would not be able to do a straight join because you have a 1-M relationship it would only get a single record. If you are in an enterprise geodatabase you could use the tool i mentioned earlier.

Comment out the add "OBJECTID" field that one is created for you. I see you are also trying to create a shape field which suggests your trying to create a feature class. You will also need to either use the full path of the input table or set the workspace environment. import os

Do your query on the non-spatial table then click the Related tables button and select your spatial table that will select all those related in the NS table to those in the spatial table then you could use Making simple field calculations—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop to calculate the field of the selected to "Sold".
