I forgot to precise that relational datastore backup is 13 Go big. Could it be the reason that the database system is still starting ? Caused by: FATAL: the database system is starting up And the reason why with small environment, it works ?!

@RichlandGIS, actually, I now understand why I missed it at the first place: this option is only available if you have the related vtpk available on the Portal for ArcGIS. As I had deleted it, it was not available. Thanks again for your time and help: much appreciated

Hello, I am trying to replicate an ArcGIS Enteprise environment with each component installed on dedicated Windows Server 2019 VM to a standby environment. Deployment is composed of: - Portal for ArcGIS 10.9.1 - ArcGIS Server (#AGS1) hosted 10.9.1 with relational and tileCache datastore - ArcGIS Server (#AGS2) federated 10.9.1 - Relational datastore 10.9.1 on a VM - TileCache datastore 10.9.1 on a VM I modified host file on Portal for ArcGIS, AGS1 and AGS2 servers and I am able to successfully initialize the standby ArcGIS Enterprise. I can then create content and access it from my computer with the same modified host file. But whenever I restore the original webgisdr backup, though webgisdr reported the restore as successful, I noticed that my relational datastore is no longer registered with the hosted ArcGIS Server. In the database "server" log, I have the following errors: <Msg time="2022-04-03T21:55:08,108" type="WARNING" code="110130" source="Data Store" process="32" thread="1" methodName="" machine="GISSTOREREC01.COMPANY.COM" user="" elapsed="" requestID="">ArcGIS Data Store has detected an issue with 'db'.</Msg> <Msg time="2022-04-03T21:55:44,140" type="WARNING" code="110130" source="Data Store" process="32" thread="1" methodName="" machine="GISSTOREREC01.COMPANY.COM" user="" elapsed="" requestID="">ArcGIS Data Store has detected an issue with 'db'.</Msg> <Msg time="2022-04-03T21:55:54,269" type="WARNING" code="110445" source="Data Store" process="5668" thread="23" methodName="" machine="GISSTOREREC01.COMPANY.COM" user="" elapsed="" requestID="">Failed to allow connections to data store machine '[{"machineName":"GISAGSREC01.COMPANY.COM","adminURL":"https://gisagsrec01.company.com:6443/arcgis/admin","synchronize":false,"underMaintenance":false}]'. No valid connection to ArcGIS Data Store configuration store established. Caused by: FATAL: the database system is starting up</Msg> <Msg time="2022-04-03T21:55:54,343" type="WARNING" code="110353" source="Data Store" process="5668" thread="23" methodName="" machine="GISSTOREREC01.COMPANY.COM" user="" elapsed="" requestID="">Failed to update license for relational data store '{0}'.</Msg> <Msg time="2022-04-03T21:56:22,265" type="WARNING" code="110130" source="Data Store" process="32" thread="1" methodName="" machine="GISSTOREREC01.COMPANY.COM" user="" elapsed="" requestID="">ArcGIS Data Store has detected an issue with 'db'.</Msg> <Msg time="2022-04-03T21:56:58,281" type="WARNING" code="110130" source="Data Store" process="32" thread="1" methodName="" machine="GISSTOREREC01.COMPANY.COM" user="" elapsed="" requestID="">ArcGIS Data Store has detected an issue with 'db'.</Msg> <Msg time="2022-04-04T00:03:11,285" type="WARNING" code="110353" source="Data Store" process="32" thread="1" methodName="" machine="GISSTOREREC01.COMPANY.COM" user="" elapsed="" requestID="">Failed to update license for relational data store '{0}'. Cannot configure ArcGIS Data Store with this GIS Server site. ArcGIS Server license is invalid. Make sure the license is Advanced or Standard edition, and that it has not expired.</Msg> It is systematic. Done it 10 times already. So I decided to create another environement with exactly the same configuration but other URLs. I filled it with some data and applied the same methodology: create a stanby environment with modified hosts files and restore webgisdr: successful. So I came to the conclusion that my relational datastore is somehow corrupted but it is currently working fine... Any idea what is going ? Maybe @JonathanQuinn has an idea ? Many thanks for your help !

Thanks for your reply @SarahMcDonald_ . I am on ArcGIS Enterprise 10.9.1 and this functionality seems to be missing: I guess it's a new feature of latest AGOL release ? Coming to enterprise next version then ! Thanks, Nicolas

Hello, I would like to update the mosaic dataset source of an elevation service we published on our Portal. How can I update/overwrite an elevation service ? There is no mention of that in the documentation: https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/sharing/overview/web-elevation-layer.htm Thanks, Nicolas

Hello, When developping with ESRI JS API, I ended up with accessors I would love to be able to autocast just like anywhere in the API. How to implement "autocasting" in Accessor is not publicly documented because I believe you do not want to "support" it as an API feature for which you will have to deprecate and so on. But it would be very nice to have as well 🙂 (I can submit an idea if you prefer) Thanks !

Just to add that debugging with Fiddler shows that everything seems to be working smoothly: - VectorTileServer/exportTiles is called - geoprocessing job succeed: a link to vtpk file returned and then downloaded. I guess it's not expected by Field Maps to use a vtpk vas "operational" layers rather than basemap but why not ?!

Hi @AndyGup, Many thanks for your quick reply and explanations. To me, I always considered it as: "to be used with care and at your own risk" and not something really officially supported as there were many typescripts errors because of internal/private methods as you mentionned. At each JS API update, I compared carrefully each change in the widgets views in order to update my "custom" widget accordingly and never had any issues. It's true that it was more time consuming but it was a choice that I found nice to have. In addition, I find it a nice way to learn JS API idiomatics and best pratices.

Hello, As it is not possible to use a basemap as a combination of tile layers and vector tiles layers (cf. my idea posted), I tried to add my vector tile layer as an operational layer. It works fine online and I can take it offline as my vector tiles layers is configured for offline use, but when opening the map, the vector tile layer is not working and the following error is loggued: "Domaine: com.esri.runtime.error Code: 7003 Description: Invalid request response." All my layers are configured for offline use and I can download it. Could it be a bug or is it just unsupported ? Reading the documentation, I could not find anything against this workflow: https://doc.arcgis.com/en/field-maps/android/help/prepare-maps-for-download.htm#ESRI_SECTION2_E6266395FC594457BEC889A5EA9AA539 Thanks !

Hello, Just noticed that 4.22 release does not include widgets .tsx views... It's a pity: it was really helpul to customize widgets slighty. I remember dev summit presentations in which you did underline that views were made publicly available to help customization. https://github.com/Esri/arcgis-js-api/tree/4.21.0/widgets (.tsx files are there) https://github.com/Esri/arcgis-js-api/tree/4master/widgets (.tsx files are gone) What's the motivation behind this change of policy ? What made you change your mind ? Cheers

@AndrewKniowski1 Many thanks for sharing ! Awesome tool. Well documented and working 🙂 I just add a small issue when running it. At first it complained that it could not load a library from an R CRAN repo which in the meantime has closed (http://cran.cnr.berkeley.edu/bin/windows/base/) so I hardcoded the CRAN repo manually in state_tree_graph.R: options(repos="url_of_the_cran_repo") I know nothing about R and did not know where the default repo config is located. Thanks again !
