Currently, the ArcGIS Online home page does not have the ability to add a second row for Featured Content. We'll add that to our wish list and keep you updated on this. Thanks for your feedback!

Hi Dave, Can you load other zipped shape files (Feature Layer) without problem, or do all shape/hosted feature layers result in error? Can you try loading this zipped shape file and let me know if it works for you? https://esri.app.box.com/s/3l9w0uhtj20imgwgs3ely3lfdiyob6vm/file/237284488745 thanks.

Hello Ofer, We plan to have more customization, presentation, capabilties in 2018. Sorry I can't be more specific at this point. Most likely we'll add more capabilties in increments with each Insights for ArcGIS update. (Last year, we had 7 updates) Regards, Doug

Yes, It is possible to have a function in the database (SQL Server, Oracle, SAP Hana, etc.) that runs an R script and result can be consumed just like any table view in Insights – the script will be run when adding it and can be run anytime by using the update in Insights. Currently, there is no UI to run scripts from directly from the Insights UI. This is in our future plans. Hope that helps.

"I'm curious what "geocoding service" you refer to and when it is activated? Is this only for "address" type locations, as I'd expect?" I was referring to what method are you using "Enabling Location" with Insights? or using the Geocoding Service? Insights for ArcGIS should allow you to perform the workflow you mentioned...

Does your SQL server location data have "X and Y" information? If so, can you please try that and let me know if that works for you? (X,Y does not use geocoding service - so trying to narrow the problem down)

Hi Ed, Insights for ArcGIS does have the capability to work with your Excel files and Enable Location (based on X, Y, Geocoding, etc.) in them so you can visualize in a map. (see picture). Will that work for you?
