Chris, The map service does not show up in the GeoEvent Manager, but I can see it at the REST endpoint. However, when I click on the link in the REST endpoint I get the message below:

Hi Chris, One of the issues I'm having is that the spatiotemporal map service is not being created. After working with Samuel with ESRI support we got the feature service working and displaying on a portal map.

Hi, Not sure if this is the correct place to ask, but I'll start here and if I need post somewhere please let me know. I have a WebGIS confiigured with ArcGIS Server and Portal, a second server configured with GeoEvent Processor, and a third server with the big data store. Everything appears to be working correctly. I've created a GeoEvent service that is adding data to a feature server in the BDS. However, when I try to display that feature service on a map in Portal I get an error indicating that the feature service is not responding. I'm kind of stuck on where to begin troubleshooting. If i try to access the BDS "datastoreadmin" (https://xxxxxxxxxx:2443/arcgis/datastoreadmin/ ) I get error code 403. Can't seem to find any info on that error. Has anyone else encountered this?

Thank you. That is what I have discovered. Fortunately we haven't yet started using this for production so it will be safe to uninstall portal and reinstall it so that it is installed with the new name.

I recently completed the setup/configuration of the WebGIS/Big Data Store and GeoEvent. ArcGIS/Portal on one machine, Big Data Store on machine two, and GeoEvent on machine three. Following the setup I discovered that the ArcGIS Server/Portal machine was named incorrectly. We renamed the machine to meet our naming conventions and now I'm having issues connecting to my ArcGIS server and my Portal. How do I resolve the name issues? My initial thought was to unfederate the server/portal, but I'm not sure how to do that when I can't access the Portal.

I have taken over the management of our GeoPortal server and have been asked about the gptadmin password. I was not provided that information when I took over the project, and I do not see a gptadmin user. Is this a built in account? Is there a way to recover the password? Also, we need to install an upgrade. I want to make sure I don't lose my configuration and settings, especially for a customer SDSFIE validator that we have installed. What is the recommended/best practice for backing up data and configuration prior to performing an upgrade? Thanks

Peter, I decided to uninstall my GeoEvent extension and reinstall. That seemed to resolve my issue. Not sure what I did differently on the second install, but it appears to be working now.

Hey Mark, I have a brand new install of 10.4.1 and I'm getting a "site can't be reached" error when I try to go to my geoevent manager page. (https://server:6143/geoevent/manager). I've checked the license manager and my license appears to be valid. I'm just not able to connect to port 6143. Any thoughts?

I want to get a list of users and content, ownership, lists from the old portal so that I get things migrated correctly. I don't think we are using AD groups for controlling access - not sure why. I inherited this project so I don't yet know the history of how and why things were set up the way they are.
