HI @DanAllen , Labeling is supported in Field Maps so there may be something else going on. Was the labeling created in ArcGIS Online or in Desktop and do you see the labels in these platforms? Also, do you have a visibility range set on the labels; make sure you are within that if so. Please provide any other details about your label you can ie are you using a label expression, font, color, etc. Thanks! Regards, Colin

@DougBrowning It wouldnt hurt cross posting this over in the ArcGIS Online product page. I think a lot of what you are suggesting might apply more to AGOL functionality than Field Maps. We will of course explore additional ways of improving the map preparation workflow, but this would be more specific towards Field Maps.

That is understandable. An idea that explains your use case in detail would be helpful. If you have access to Esri Support I believe there is an existing enhancement request (for Collector) that you could get attached to as well. Regards, Colin

Hi @Mevs604 , This is by design and was changed in the new Collector which persisted to Field Maps. We only return the 12 results closest to the center of the view. This was to improve performance when searching. You can pan and zoom to better cater your results. Regards, Colin

Thank you both for the details. I think this is something we could eventually work towards a solution for. There is a script available that can transfer the form from one map to another. Keep in mind this is only really useful if you are using the same feature layer but it could be something to build off of: https://github.com/Esri/field-maps-scripts/blob/master/readmes/copy_form_between_maps.md We have had discussions around providing solution templates with pre-made forms that could be useful for starting new projects. Again just exactly solve your issues but its the direction we are moving towards. If you have other info you can provide about your workflows I can note it. "Also my forms are 200+ lines so way too big for the UI of Field Maps" @DougBrowning You can Group and hide certain fields using the Field Maps Web App, this could help minimize the length of your form, but I understand your concern. Regards, Colin

Hi @RogerCleaves1 , Have you looked into Field Maps Web yet? It was fully released in December and supports conditional visibility, grouping of fields, setting required fields, and more in the form builder. We will be expanding on the smart forms capabilities with further releases as well. In terms of importing a survey123 form directly, that is not something we support at this time. @DougBrowning for your specific scenario, would it work to save a copy of the Web Map? This carries over the layers, popup config, etc to the copied Web Map. Regards, Colin

Just to add on to this. The Streets basemap you were using is a Vector Tiled Basemap which automatically downloads tiles at all available scales; this is why there is no scale picker when taking it offline. Regards, Colin

I feel that I can elaborate a bit more on this...On iOS there are additional approval steps that need to be added either on the app or AGOL side for a certain apps custom URL to work. AGOL can also sanitize links in popups in some instances which can complicate things. As I mentioned above, we have moved towards the universal link format (https) with Field Maps. We recommend using this moving forward as they would not be sanitized in the popup, whether its in the attributes or custom popup. It would be on the 3rd party app to support this format in order for it to work for you. Let me know if you have further questions! Regards, Colin

Hi Grant, To clarify, non-https links (http based) and services are no longer supported in ArcGIS Online. See this technical article: https://support.esri.com/en/technical-article/000022877 However, I am not sure that is what you are referring to. It appears you are trying to use a custom URL scheme to call a 3rd party app. This should be supported despite the restrictions mentioned above. On a related note, with Field Maps, we no longer support calling Field Maps from a custom URL (eg arcgis-fieldmaps://); you must use the universal formatting https://fieldmaps.arcgis.app. I was aware of issues displaying links in the field attributes on Android but not iOS. Can you confirm you are seeing issues in Field Maps on iOS? Regards, Colin

Hello, On Field Maps (and Collector) the map should center on your location by default. As long as the GPS tool is activated (tap the tool so the arrow is filled in) the map should stay centered on your location and pan before the location reaches the edge of the screen. If you manually pan or zoom the map this will turn off the auto-pan functionality and you will notice the GPS tool arrow is now a hollow blue; tap it again to center on your location again and turn on auto-pan. When streaming is initiated it will follow your location by default as you likely saw in the demo. Whether you are streaming a feature or not, you can take advantage of this feature. Let me know if you have further questions! Regards, Colin

Hi Jake, Sorry for the late reply. Have you tested this in Field Maps? The error message may be expected. When there are multiple areas, there is no way to identify which one to open, as the URL is only passing the parent web map ID (there is no way to specify a specific area ID). Try opening the area you want, then following the link again. It should take you to the area you want and proceed with any other parameters that were passed. In short, the area needs to either be the only offline area for the given map or the "Current" map. Does this method work for you? Regards, Colin

Thank you for the additional details. I am not sure exactly how Pro handles it, but copied layers run into a lot of snags at the Runtime level, which are exacerbated at the app level. Its not something we are dismissing entirely; there is an enhancement that is under consideration - ENH-000126753. It was logged for Collector but would be brought over to Field Maps should the team decide to implement it. You can contact Support and get attached to it to track the status. Regards, Colin

Hi @Anonymous User , I know this behavior can be frustrating when sometimes the easiest and most effective route is to just make a copy of a layer. Check out the discussion in this post from the Collector forum. The short answer is that there are known limitations using layer copies offline and viable workarounds (layer views, which this in fact is one of their main use cases) for this workflow. It is present in Field Maps because nothing was ever changed with this behavior in Collector and the core of Collector was brought over as the base for Field Maps. There are additional links and Ideas in the post I linked above where you can comment further, or feel free to elaborate further here. Thanks! Regards, Colin
