Hi Grant, To clarify, non-https links (http based) and services are no longer supported in ArcGIS Online. See this technical article: https://support.esri.com/en/technical-article/000022877 However, I am not sure that is what you are referring to. It appears you are trying to use a custom URL scheme to call a 3rd party app. This should be supported despite the restrictions mentioned above. On a related note, with Field Maps, we no longer support calling Field Maps from a custom URL (eg arcgis-fieldmaps://); you must use the universal formatting https://fieldmaps.arcgis.app. I was aware of issues displaying links in the field attributes on Android but not iOS. Can you confirm you are seeing issues in Field Maps on iOS? Regards, Colin

Hello, On Field Maps (and Collector) the map should center on your location by default. As long as the GPS tool is activated (tap the tool so the arrow is filled in) the map should stay centered on your location and pan before the location reaches the edge of the screen. If you manually pan or zoom the map this will turn off the auto-pan functionality and you will notice the GPS tool arrow is now a hollow blue; tap it again to center on your location again and turn on auto-pan. When streaming is initiated it will follow your location by default as you likely saw in the demo. Whether you are streaming a feature or not, you can take advantage of this feature. Let me know if you have further questions! Regards, Colin

Hi Jake, Sorry for the late reply. Have you tested this in Field Maps? The error message may be expected. When there are multiple areas, there is no way to identify which one to open, as the URL is only passing the parent web map ID (there is no way to specify a specific area ID). Try opening the area you want, then following the link again. It should take you to the area you want and proceed with any other parameters that were passed. In short, the area needs to either be the only offline area for the given map or the "Current" map. Does this method work for you? Regards, Colin

Thank you for the additional details. I am not sure exactly how Pro handles it, but copied layers run into a lot of snags at the Runtime level, which are exacerbated at the app level. Its not something we are dismissing entirely; there is an enhancement that is under consideration - ENH-000126753. It was logged for Collector but would be brought over to Field Maps should the team decide to implement it. You can contact Support and get attached to it to track the status. Regards, Colin

Hi @Anonymous User , I know this behavior can be frustrating when sometimes the easiest and most effective route is to just make a copy of a layer. Check out the discussion in this post from the Collector forum. The short answer is that there are known limitations using layer copies offline and viable workarounds (layer views, which this in fact is one of their main use cases) for this workflow. It is present in Field Maps because nothing was ever changed with this behavior in Collector and the core of Collector was brought over as the base for Field Maps. There are additional links and Ideas in the post I linked above where you can comment further, or feel free to elaborate further here. Thanks! Regards, Colin

Hi @WillStewart , This is a known limitation of keyboards on certain devices (I have seen it on a Tab A for example). There is a bug logged for this with support: BUG-000131801. You could reach out and attach yourself to this bug to help estimate how many are affected by this. The workaround would be to install another keyboard and set it as the default, like the Google keyboard, GBoard. I hope this helps! Regards, Colin

Hi @KyleMcCormick , All, Thank you for reporting this. Is anyone else also having issues in Field Maps? Please reach out to Support if you have not already so we can gauge how widespread this issue is. So far we have not been able to reproduce it. Regards, Colin

Hi Eric, This sounds like expected behavior as you are sharing who can view the survey results, not the actual survey. You would need to share through the Collaboration > Share Survey tab to share the actual survey so they users can hit it from the My Surveys list. Correct me if i'm wrong Zachary Sutherby Sarah Bubka Regards, Colin

Hi Carl Vricella, How did you enable editor tracking on this layer? There are a few methods of accomplishing this workflow. Also, where are you observing the Creator field; is this within Collector or are you inspecting the features in the Web Map in ArcGIS Online or Portal? In Collector, we show the Created by field near the top of the popup after creating a new feature. For existing features we display the Edited by fields. You can also modify the popup in the Web Map to display all the editor tracking fields in the popup. Regards, Colin

Hi Andrew Croisier, Because you are using iOS we can capture the logs for the download failure you are seeing and perhaps gather more information. In Collector, access your Profile menu in the top left of the Maps screen. At the bottom of this menu tap Troubleshooting and toggle on Logging. Attempt to download the Offline Area again; if it fails, return to the Troubleshooting screen and check the logs. You can copy the results here if necessary. Field Maps will behave in much the same way the Collector does as Kylie Donia noted. Regards, Colin

Hi Hamish, This is a little out of my realm being that its occurring in Portal. To clarify, are these attachments being generated in Collector? If so, do they appear correctly within the app? And the same attachments on the same features are appearing correctly when viewed in another browser? You may have already done this but try clearing the cache in Firefox and ensuring it is up to date. It would be worthwhile to submit a Support case if this is giving you consistent troubles. Regards, Colin

Hi All, A fix has been applied to ArcGIS Online recently to mitigate this behavior. The mismatching of attachments should no longer occur. This scenario could have been encountered when/if the user experiences a sync failure, perhaps due to a network timeout and loss of connectivity during sync, etc. where the local edits w/attachments have been pushed up to the server but no feedback was received by the client indicating the sync was successful. In this case you may attempt to submit a second time by tapping 'Retry' in Collector resulting in the mismatched attachments. Hamish Mills You may be encountering something similar but it doesnt sound like the same issue. It would be useful to point this out to Esri Support if possible. Regards, Colin
