Sounds like you are asking about the IDocumentEvents interface? This has an on openDocument listener. Have a look at the snippet section of the SDK help for the snippet Add Event Wiring for New and Open Documents Snippet.‌

You can put scripts into the text of a question by simply copying it into it! Then use the "Use advanced editor" option and use the >> button to set the correct language of the code snippet. Personally if it is a big script I would attach it as a zip as you have done. If your code sometimes runs OK then this suggest there is something else causing a problem, so its very difficult to answer this question.

Marc, Having looked at your code I have a few questions: Does the error occur on the initial loop, or does it actually create some tables then bomb out? Your zonal layer never changes, could you have a scenario that your zonal dataset does not intersect ANY cells in a raster? Can you have a scenario where one of your input rasters is all nodata? The follow VBA code shows you how to open that dialog. I don't believe you can then hook into it and say populate it with values or select the Linear Referencing tab. To my knowledge those properties are not exposed. Dan, If you follow the link Pedro links gives it says the: The Alter Field online help documentation page indicates that the Alter Field tool is available at all license levels, however, the tool is unavailable at lower license levels. I've got the little yellow padlock on the tool in ArcToolbox. This is on my personal version at home. At work this tool is available as its an advance license. I'm just trying to establish what license is it actually available at. Help says all levels but bug report is saying different! Duncan

Jake, I've just upgraded to 10.2.1 and have a Basic license. I spotted that this new tool would not work and found this thread. I followed the link to the bug report page but it does not explicity state what license level this tool is available at! Do you or anyone in ESRI know at what license level this tool is available at? Seems a bit unfair to have a gold plated carrot waved in front of me to only find out that it's now available! Duncan

Have the input csv files massively changed in size? Or as Dan suggests has something changed with your machine? Are you getting low on disk space, when did you last run a disk clean up or defrag on your system?

Li, Assuming your buffer exists in a layer and is not just some polygon then you can use the interface ILayerEffects to alter the transparency. Only layers support transparency, so if you were intending to create a polygon buffer and display it as a graphic then that will not work. Duncan

OK so you've drawn polygon X, in this example polygons A and B overlap and polygon X overlaps these, so which takes precedence? Do you take the information from A or B? If you say the top one then that is dictated by the draw order which I understand is simply the row order in the FeatureClass. The interface IRelationalOperator compares individual geometries rather than whole layers. As your A and B layer polygons occupy the same space a spatial query will always return both but it would be a layer at a time, so there is no tool that will query 2 sources simultaneously. I think the bigger problem is how do you decide to choose A over B or vice versa?
