In ArcGIS Pro 3.4.0, we can toggle features on and off via symbology — in the Symbology pane (by default) or in the Contents pane (via Symbology pane > More > Use the Contents pane for class visibility). Toggle visibility for individual Categories on Symbology tab It's not intuitive to me to enable the toggles via the More button in the Symbology pane. I'd rather enable it by right-clicking the layer in the Contents pane and choosing an option in the context menu. Or just enable this functionality by default for all layers that are symbolized by unique values.

@KoryKramer BUG-000173175 has been changed to Status: As Designed An empty expression or SQL selecting everything is by design. The same applies to the tool in ArcMap 10.8.3, as just confirmed with a test. A screenshot is available for confirmation. Could this idea be changed back to Open?

Making a SQL change to a registered database view (FGDB, mobile geodatabase, or EGDB) is an inefficient process. We don't have a GP or UI tool to unregister the view with the geodatabase, so instead we need to delete the existing view, recreate it, register it with the geodatabase, and then set up all the DB privileges again. It would be great if Esri could provide a sample python script that would unregister the view with the geodatabase. (If Pro is capable of unregistering when deleting a view, then why can't it unregister without deleting the underlying DB view?) I figure, if Esri was going to provide a GP tool to unregister views, they would have done it by now. So I'm not hopeful that tool will ever be created. As an alternative, I am wondering if it would be easier for the Python team to whip up a sample script.

ArcGIS Pro 3.4.0; file geodatabase
I have a SQL expression in Select By Attributes that selects a row.
Now, I remove the SQL expression. I hit Apply, expecting the selection to be cleared (no rows selected). However, the opposite happened; all rows were selected.
That's not expected. Could that behavior be changed so that hitting apply when there are no SQL expressions selects no records?

It would be great if we could turn a label class SQL query off if it's not currently needed. If I understand correctly, a label class SQL query would need to be removed or modified, it can't be turned off using a toggle.
I still want the features to be labelled, so I don't want to turn off labelling. I just don't want the label class SQL to narrow down the features that do get labelled.
Could SQL toggle functionality be added, similar to definition queries? Let me know if I'm missing something.
It would be the equivalent of adding OR 1=1 to the end of the SQL expression as a workaround to label all features.

Having spatial SQL functions in FGDB SQL would be great for complex FGDB SQL queries. Related: https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-pro-ideas/spatial-definition-query/idc-p/1560858/highlight/true#M32952 Me: Does that mean spatial SQL functions will now be available in FGDB SQL? @TanuHoque : Unfortunately, this doesn't mean support for spatial SQL functions will come out of this project. Do you already have a separate idea for that functionality?

I've created a selection layer. Now, I want to add a few more features to the selection layer. Instead of deleting the existing selection layer and creating a new one, I want to add features to the existing selection layer. I'm not aware of a way to do that using existing OOTB ArcGIS Pro functionality. GIS Stack Exchange: How to add item to an existing selection layer

The Generate Definition Query From Selection tool has a SQL Expression section that appears when the user enables the Overwrite SQL Clause checkbox. That works, but I’m wondering if it would be more intuitive if we could click a down-arrow that would expand/collapse a section that contains the parameters. The section could be dependent on other parameters. For example, if the Generation Method parameter is set to Match Selection, then the expandable section would be greyed out. But if the Use Field Values option is chosen, then the expandable section would be available.
