Hi Randall, a. Currently using ArcMap 10.6 b. We're bring in the layers through the "database connections" c. I will be able to try this Wednesday and update our findings. Concerning the last piece of information, can you elaborate on the query's not being executed against every layer in the map? Does this have to do with the network firewall possibly blocking certain access request?

I am using Arcmap 10.6, when I have only limited number of enterprise layers loaded, the snapping experience process is painful. My cursor turns to "Busy" shape (the blue circle) and can't snap to the feature. I have no idea why it happens. Any solution? Notes: Everything is hosted on a server through a Virtual Machine. The virtual machine includes all the mapping software for an enterprise level, along with SQL 2012. Mapping Software: Version 10.6 ArcGIS Server Portal for ArcGIS Two ArcGIS Web Adaptors SQL Server 2012 Operating System Windows Server 2012 R2 Memory 32 gigs Internet Bandwidth 50/50 mbps up/down Tested: Rebuilt the entire map.. Checked the map's data source in ArcCatalog Ran MXD Doctor Restarted ArcGIS services in Services Set the Default map as Default_old and generated another Default map Full Compression (Includes Reconcile & Post w/ Rebuild Indexes) Python ~ nightly routine w/ log (Successful) Restricted memory limits in SQL Checked the snapping tool bar Checked the tables Restarted the database When editing is turn off the map is VERY quick to cache/load the object. Once you begin editing you're unable to snap features. p.s. The local file geodatabases are not affected by this weird issue.

In the UPDM2016 data model we have a single Valve layer. Do I need to store both inline valves for mainlines and curb valves for services in the Valve layer together or is there another layer?

If we use the ArcGIS Enterprise Builder to upgrade our enterprise from 10.5.1 to 10.6 will we have to change any information? We'd like to leave the credential name and password we used to upgrade from 10.3.1 to 10.5.1 mid-last year. Thanks, Jordan

A colleague and I tried an earlier version of this back in July. It will definitely be a useful tool. Our only concerns was that the reports couldn't be updated in real time when data was changed and manipulated. We haven't tried the latest version assuming there was another update after July, 2017.

I am surprised to hear that the snapping functionality would actually be apart of the backlog. I work for a gas utility company in Ohio and we're currently building our enterprise system to utilize the collector app. The biggest flaw for the collector app is the inability to allow field workers to snap features for mainlines and components out in the field. The snapping functionality would be a great asset especially when using the ESRI Utility and Pipeline Data Model by Tom Dewitte.

I'm trying to add coded values to a new created domain using Arcpy in ArcCatalog but I keep getting this strange error. The domain gets created but the coded values generate an error. I used this exact python tool for a local file geodatabase with no issues so I don't understand why there would be problems with an enterprised geodatabase. I'm having an issue allowing users within our organization to add, edit, and delete features from our published maps on Collector. We used layers from our Enterprise Geodatabase 10.3.1. I've included the following images showing our published settings from ArcGIS Desktop and Portal . Collector and Portal users are not given that editing option. Current Software: ArcGIS Desktop 10.3.1 ArcGIS Portal 10.3.1 Enterprise Geodatabase 10.3.1 Current App: Collector 17.0.2, build 1028 Publishing a service: Image 1 - 3 shows the settings that I used to publish our map service. ------------------------------------------------- Created a new Portal's user permission Organization --> Roles --> Create Role: See Portal user roles setting.png
