Hi. Another issue with Pro ;D 2.0.1 I created a layout in Pro which consists of many rectangles, text boxes, a few light weight image files, a simple legend, two circles... It's not too complicated... I saved the project, saved the layout as a layout File as a back up. However, on re-opening the project one day, the layout is still there but I can't change any of the elements... All I get to change is the Map Frame and one single rectangle (which acts as a page border in this case). I haven't hidden or locked the other elements (don't think you can hide them anyway...). So where are my elements/graphics in the contents pane??? -Also none of the elements (apart from the border ectangle) are clickable on the page... -Drawing a new rectangle works as intended and it will appear on the contents pane as expected. I've numbered all the elements and graphics below... Where are they in the contents pane? (drawing order or element type both don't have them) Thanks, Theo

OK I'll try strip out larger data sets to reduce the Packaged project file size. I'll make sure the problem still exists, then I'll email it over. Thanks! Theo

OK good to know that you can use SHIFT when selecting multiple feature classes. Yes eventually I plan on migrating the business over to using File Geodatabases, but for now I'm handling a lot of shapefile data (format I received it in). On a side note, I always found large shapefiles draw faster in ArcMap at least. Perhaps this isn't still the case in later releases of ArcGIS Pro...?

Hi, we have OS mastermap basemap data in the form of WMTS layers. In QGIS, they load and display in a matter of seconds. However, in ArcGIS Pro, the layer takes up to 5 minutes to load! Strangely once it has loaded, you can pan around and zoom about with no issues. I've tried hosting the WMTS layer on my ArcGIS Online (AGOL) 'my contents' page, and then in Pro adding it via 'Add Data'. On AGOL it's very quick but in Pro still painfully slow! As a layer in QGIS, it's rapid to display. What's going on with Pro? 2.0.1 + layers and map all in British National Grid. Thanks, Theo

Yes I've already saved the final layout as a Layout file. If I try to load it into another project, it crashes ArcGIS Pro. Leads to: (Can't send error report as it's too large). I've saved the .dmp file though. I've also noticed on the Layout tab of the 'problem' project, hardly any map elements are moveable or editable. I've inserted a few light images, text boxes, a legend, drawn some circles. But all I'm seeing in the layout contents pane is the Map Frame and one single rectangle... What's causing this loss of editability? In Map Frame are the map layers. No layout elements... Theo

Yes, when zoomed out and trying to Flash a tiny shape, it's impossible in Pro to see where the flash occurs. In ArcMap, crosshairs would appear on the screen pinpointing exactly where the shape is on the map. In Pro, the flash is ok when zoomed in, but from a distance is useless.

Hi Jeff, Blank project created, inserted map, added simple polygon shapefile, inserted layout and added map frame: Create a spatial map series (changed name, sort, and extent settings only): Result: Saved As a new project 'ESRI_case', closed. Reopened and Map Series had saved with all settings intact! Hmmm, let me add a Page Query to the polygon layer (as I have in my original project): Saved, close, reopened> the settings were retained and Map Series was still active. How strange... I then tried adding another layout to the 'ESRI case' project as my original had 2 layouts in it. Map Series setting still there after reopening. Something else is going on then...

Thanks but I haven't found that to be the case. Yes, the first layer you select will go to the bottom, but every layer in between will encounter the issue I originally described. My original result: F, E, D, C, B, A My intention: A, B, C, D, E, F actual result from selecting from bottom up: E, D, C, B, A, F To replicate: Open blank Pro project, Insert Map tab. Add Data>>>browse to folder containing shapefiles>>>Click the last shapefile: Hold shift and click on the shapefile I want to be at the top of the list in the TOC: Click OK to add: UPDATE! (found this after I wrote the above!): However, on the Add Data page, if you Select the bottom layer and hold CTRL (instead of SHIFT), you can manually click one by one on each layer until you get to the file you want at the top. This will add the files into the TOC in the order you want: But say you had 100 shapefiles to add, this would mean clicking 100 times just to add a folder of data...! Can we both agree this is an issue? Theo

ArcGIS Pro 2.0.1 trial. Using the add data button, I browse to a folder containing 40 or so polygon shapefiles (all sorted A-Z): I select them all and click OK to add the files to my current project. However, the new layers are listed in reverse alphabetical order! It's really tedious to manually drag each layer into the correct order... Where is the option to Sort layers (within a group layer in this case) A-Z? Thanks, Theo

Ok will do. Although my project contains sensitive data, so I'll strip that out, test it, then send as a package... Theo

ArcGIS Pro 2.0.1 trial Yesterday I spent a while setting up data driven pages/map series for a project, to quickly export a number of maps at specific scales and formats. The Map Series tool was showing my project as having a Spatial series. I saved my project at the end of the day and closed Pro. This morning I open the same project and the Map Series is disabled and all settings lost. I have to set it up again. All the default options are different to the settings I chose yesterday. It's a completely blank slate. What's going wrong? Is this a bug? Should I just never close down Pro?! Thanks

ArcGIS Pro 2.0.1 I have 2 features (both from a different layer) overlapping each other on my map. They are both turned on and visible. However, when I use the hand/identify tool to click on a shape, the resulting pop-up only provides me info about the top feature. There is no option (like in the WebApp) to scroll through to view the attributes of the feature underneath. I struggle to believe this basic feature isn't implemented somehow. Can someone guide me? Thanks clicking on the green polygon, I can't view attribute information for the hatched red polygon underneath.

Thanks for the reply. I want ArcMap because I'm skilled in that program and am trying to rebuild some complex mapping projects this week. I don't have time to invest in learning Pro. Not yet at least!
