Hello, I just thought I would share a small app we recently launched using the Web App Builder Framework. It’s not your typical WAB app and I thought it might help people see what can be done with the Web App Builder if customized a little. The application is new so you might find the odd bug or so… Simcoe County Tourism Map (screenshot attached) https://maps.simcoe.ca/tourism Drew

Yep, its just a helper and easy to use also. I would say nothing has a UI unless its under the 'esri/dijit/...' module.

Also.. The Edit Toolbar is not a physical toolbar.. it has no UI (user interface). It's just a helper class to move and modify graphics. Sample to move and scale a graphic require([
"esri/toolbars/edit", ...
], function(Edit, ... ) {
var editToolbar = new Edit( ... );
//Combine tools
editToolbar.activate(Edit.MOVE | Edit.SCALE, evt.graphic);
...
})

Can I ask why you are not willing to use the edit toolbar? It does not physically 'edit' the data. "The Edit toolbar is a helper class that provides functionality to move graphics or modify individual vertices, i.e., edit the geometry of existing graphics.

Make Editable Look at the Edit Toolbar to make this happen. To get the Lat/Long Well this depends on your data and what coordinate system its in. You can get the X and Y of your data from your 'evt.mapPoint' object (evt.mapPpoint.x) - review the Point object for all details. If you want lat and long and your data is in WebMercator you will want to use the webMercatorUtils - specifically the webMercatorToGeographic function. Drew

Well i guess as long as you are not using an ESRI basemap in the AGO webmap you should be okay. Have you tried just clearing your cache or a different web browser? A lot of times thing like this are just browser cache issues

Hello, I have recently converted all our EXPLODED caches into COMPACT caches and I think our missing.png and missing.jpg files no longer work for areas with missing data. I did re-add them into the correct folder according to the documentation. Judging from the docs there is nothing that mentioned storage formats. How To: Configure the cache folder to display a 'Data not available' tile for empty map cache areas or missing tiles Does anyone have a missing.png or a missing.jpg file working when their cache storage format is COMPACT? Thanks, Drew

One easy way is to use the 'Export Map' function in the REST API Export Map (Operation) A more complex way with more functionality is to use the SOAP API ArcGIS Server SOAP SDK Drew

Try calling another function in your class; Dojo Sample: (see processEvent) require(["dojo/on", "dojo/_base/lang"], function(on, lang){
var processEvent = function(e){
this.something = "else";
};
on(something, "click", lang.hitch(this, processEvent));
}); So your code might be something like... array.forEach(filteredArr,function(layer){
console.log(lang.hitch(this,getLayer);
});
...
...
...
getLayer:function()
{
this.map.getLayer(layer.id))
}

I think it would be helpful if your question was more specific in what you are wanting to do. If you want to know how to create an interactive map with HTML then one option is to use the ESRI JavaScript API and create your own custom solution. Or you can try the Web App Builder. Drew

As Robert mentioned this is a custom widget, Below is a general description of the task at hand that might get you moving forward. Create a blank Web App Builder widget Have 2 input boxes for the X and Y values to be entered and a button. When the user clicks the button, convert the users input into a Point object and a new Graphic. Add the graphic to a new GraphicsLayer - dont forget to symbolize and add the Graphicslayer to the map. Using the Point geometry run an intersect against your line(s) and see if it comes back true The geometryEngine can help with the intersect: If the intersect is true then take your point and add it to a feature layer using the 'applyEdits' function. Other factors to consider is the spatial reference of the XY and error checking Drew
