Jeff your new site looks really nice. I agree they are two distinct philosophies. To really win the market ESRI needs both. I am excited about this!

I would be happy to participate in this program as a beta tester, if it is a public beta. I would be glad to identify bugs and submit appropriate console/network traffic, and provide brief user interface and functionality suggestions. I watched the Dev training with Kelly last month and it was great. This is where I learned about the viewer. Thank you Kelly and everyone else in the ESRI JS staff for keeping us in the loop. This is a welcome development. And needed, now that they are officially deprecating both Silverlight and Flex.

I'm trying to use a token for credentials in a proxy page page but I can't seem to get it to work. Does my service need to be https? Right now I'm using http. It seems like a pretty easy task, I just can't get it to work. If memory serves right, Yes. You must force it to use http. I think it was some ArcGIS Server setting. This is security by design if I remember correctly. Security can be weird, though. For me, for example, I get the Identiy Manager popup locally when running in Visual Studio and although it authenticates correctly and loads the layers in the map object the AGS JS TOC doesn't work. Yet it works perfectly fine on our Amazon cloud which is also set to use proxies. TOC looks fine. Identity Manager never pops up. You'd never even know it was secured. Only thing different is the token in the proxy of course. Interesting. Well I hope this helps and you get everything working.

nicholas if I understand you correctly, I want the same thing. I suspect most developers and end users do. We want an "Identify" like in ArcMap. What I need is to Identify on multiple dynamic layers, and identifies on only visible layers, and display all results with page-through, with those little arrows at the top of the infowindow, or another way if that is not supported. And work with scale-dependent layers as well. It should know visibility based on Nianwei's AGS JS TOC toggling control. Does anyone have a working example of this, such as a Fiddle, etc? Something perhaps that combines the efforts of these two Fiddles: http://jsfiddle.net/kenbuja/nvNQw/ (works with AGS JS TOC but only one layer) http://jsfiddle.net/blordcastillo/mULcz/ (multiple dynamic layers) It looks like perhaps Tracy created something like this in this thread http://forums.arcgis.com/threads/93896-conversion-of-mutiple-IdentifyTasks-from-DeferredList-to-Promise-and-All?highlight=identify+visible A solution for scale dependency was apparently proposed in this thread: http://forums.arcgis.com/threads/68811-IdentifyTask-Returning-Scale-Dependent-Layers-When-Outside-of-Scale-Range This would probably be a good widget for ESRI to provide as an official Sample as well. It would be popular.
