I just ran these checks with the 'calculate location from CSV' sample survey; it's the capital P that's causing the problem, it should be 'pulldata'. The space is fine, Survey123 just doesn't use it in samples and example formulas in the documentation for style reasons.

Hi Dawn, It's not yet possible in Connect, but we hope to make it possible. Until then, the ability to prompt the user to send another response is only available in the web app.

Hi Alex, This has nothing to do with repeats. The checkboxes vs. radio buttons actually come from using select_one or select_multiple questions; select_multiples (as in the upper question in your screenshot) use checkboxes, while select_ones (as in the second question) use radio buttons. If you want that second question to use checkboxes, you could make it a select_multiple, but that does mean people will be able to choose multiple answers. You could limit the constraint so that people can't submit when they select more than one answer, using a formula like count-selected(${multiple}) = 1 in the constraint column, but they'd still be able to select more than one on the interface, which could be confusing for people.

Hi David, I think you might have more luck in another Geonet group; it doesn't look like your question has much to do with Survey123.

No, you can open a survey made in Survey123 Connect in the web app; there's a link provided when you sign in to the Survey123 website, that you can then distribute to whoever needs to fill it out. Be aware that your survey won't look exactly the same, however, and depending on your survey not everything you need may be supported.

Hi Jonathan, If I'm not mistaken, the exact functionality you describe is covered in the 'Calculate Location from CSV' sample provided in Survey123 Connect.

Hi Jevita, What you could do is implement individual fields for every choice in the select multiple question, and hide them by using the selected() function in the relevant column, which only shows a question if a particular select_one or select_multiple option has been selected. For example, with a select multiple list of different fruits, you could have separate questions for the quantities of apples, bananas and pears, and hide them by putting the following into the relevant column for each one: selected(${fruits}, 'apple') selected(${fruits}, 'banana') selected(${fruits}, 'pear')

Yes, reverse geocoding isn't yet supported by the Survey123 web app. This is being worked on, but I'm not certain when it will be implemented.

If you're using a select_one question, then in most cases (the most common exception being when using a cascading select) the label of the choice will be used in the results.

Hi Oscar, Repeats are useful in situations like the survey Chris provided in the original post, when the user is answering several iterations of the exact same questions (so in that example, capturing the same information about several individual items). It doesn't sound like your survey has this structure, using groups might be necessary, but you can check out the documentation to decide for yourself: Repeats—Survey123 for ArcGIS | ArcGIS Currently, you can't actually implement a repeat in the Survey123 web designer, it can only be added to a survey in Survey123 Connect, although they are usable in surveys opened in the web app once implemented.

I have seen situations where surveys made for the field app can be visually distinct from each other while sticking to a standard. The Community section of the New Survey dialog has a number of surveys from Eagle GIS that differentiate by heading text and background colors, which might be an ideal example to work from. If you want to use the web app and customize it further, there are some extra settings that can be edited within the .info file, as mentioned by James Tedrick in another discussion: https://community.esri.com/thread/218865-viewing-survey123-form-on-web-pale-blue-wrapper#comment-788855 This could be risky, and likely won't serve all of your needs, but gives you more control than you would otherwise.

Hi Jim, Using a CSS isn't possible in either the field app or the website, but some of what you've outlined can be done in Survey123 Connect's Style tab for surveys in the Survey123 field app. Style your survey—Survey123 for ArcGIS | ArcGIS I should note that the style you apply in Connect might not apply in the way you expect in the web app, however.

Hi Chris, This is largely unrelated, but why is your survey using groups and large amounts of relevant fields, rather than using repeats for every category? It would make your results neater by having less duplicate fields (many of which will be empty), and would reduce the survey's initial load time. I assume there's a reason, I'm just not certain from an observational point of view what it is.

Hi Debbie (and Melinda), Does your survey have attachments--that is, an image or audio question? In that case, you need to enable 'Editors can edit all features' for your feature service. This is an error that was introduced in 3.0, which is why you're only seeing this now.

Hi Patrick, This is a known issue that we're working on, stemming from new functionality added in Survey123 version 3.0. If you aren't relying on features added to Survey123 3.0 such as nested repeats, you can avoid this issue until it's fixed by using Survey123 Classic, which doesn't have this problem.
