@anna_garrett This issue was reported in ArcGIS Pro 2.6 and got resolved in version 2.8 (or 2.7 not sure). Which version are you using? Did you call technical support? (always recommended) Are you using feature services? Do you have network issues?

@ElginMoore1 You don't have to use a parcel fabric to enter a traverse. I would recommend: 1. Use the geoprocessing tool "Enable COGO" to add COGO fields to your line feature class. 2. Add the 'COGO Enabled' line feature class to your map to enjoy COGO symbology that can be further configured. 3. Traverse away. All the editing tools in ArcGIS Pro are also used for parcel fabric editing - one set of tools. To learn how to enter a traverse read this help topic. The traverse tool already has all the capabilities you mention and much more. Tips: Make sure to set the correct units in your project - learn how Use these examples to get started with the shortcuts and learn about the overrides and options, like non-tangent curve bearing in this topic Adjusting a traverse and viewing the residuals is covered here. And although you don't need really to import and export traverse TXT files because every course you enter is a real feature that you can save when you press 'Save edits' and because you can pick it up from where you have left the next day... but if you really have to save files - this is how to do it in ArcGIS Pro. Traverse away!

Already offered in ArcGIS Pro. There are no plans to enhance the traverse functionality in ArcMap.

@JonathanMcDowell1 Did you get a chance to review the attribute rule SHAPE IS FIXED that is shipped with ArcGIS Pro 2.8? A line can be held fixed by having the points on its 2 extremities flagged as fixed (IsFixed = 'Yes'). Does this satisfy the business requirement behind this idea?

It's all there: Ground to grid corrections, import and export ArcMap traverse TXT files, residuals, overrides, shortcuts, misclose ratio and COGO area and capabilities that never existed in ArcMap like a built-in calculator, use of the 10 keypad for data entry, tangency is assumed, Can stop a traverse halfway and save it to pick up from where you left the next day using the trace, COGO symbology and labels, entry of natural features or tracing other bounding features and much much more.

With the new LSA engine in ArcGIS Pro there is no need to create artificial connection lines as it can adjust isolated 'islands' of parcels. The geoprocessing framework and python can be used to automate feature creation between points.

@jcarlson Did you resolve the issue? If yes - do you know what caused it? Thanks.

Thanks @DianeBaker. We have noticed that ArcMap Parcel Fabric users find it harder to adopt the parcel fabric in ArcGIS Pro than 'non parcel fabric' ArcMap Editors. However, both groups testify that would never go back to ArcMap once they get used to working in ArcGIS Pro. Any ribbon-based user interface is likely to introduce a few more mouse clicks, but that should be negligible if you set your own QAT (Quick Access toolbar) and configure the tool gallery to meet your workflow needs. Once you become more proficient in ArcGIS Pro we would love to get your feedback and make data entry in ArcGIS Pro even more efficient.

Thanks @AdamHart1 Could you take a screenshot of a couple of rows you have in the spreadsheet? Or better yet attach a small sample? It will make it easier to understand if your spreadsheet has 1 row per record or 1 row per parcel + the attributes.

Hello all When you create a parcel fabric and add parcel types, they all come with system fields that you cannot delete. This includes the 'Name' field. The solution is to alias the 'Name' field as you see fit ('PIN', 'APN', 'PID', 'Section'...). Having a known name field allows us to ship the parcel fabric with default layers that display good-looking labels, popups, display expressions, Attribute Rules etc. You can always extend the table and create your own field. If you still want to leverage the default labeling we ship without modifying the layers, one way is to use an attribute rule to calculate the value from your field ('PIN') to the 'name' field. However, simple is better and the best practice is to alias the 'Name' field.

The parcel fabric in Pro relies on spatial coincidence to determine which parcels features have to be modified when a point/line/polygon is modified. So if modify a polygon it will also modify its lines and move points. If one of those points is shared with another parcel type - it will also modify that parcel type. This is what we want as we do not want to start creating misalignment between parcel types. When you turn off the topology, it will stop modifying coincident geometries - so be careful not to corrupt your spatial integrity. Turning the topology off is useful when features that have to be separated from each other are coincident. Another common issue is having very small gaps or overlaps that are not visible in a normal scale - they can become big when geometries move as they are not deemed coincident. We will have new functionality in AcGIS Pro 2.9 to help identify them. I would: 1. Make sure the topological integrity is good - no tiny gaps/slivers in the data 2. Layers from other parcel types are editable. If you are using ArcGIS Pro 2.8.0, 2.8.1 or 2.8.2 with feature services: there is a known bug where the rubber bending is not visible when you move/rotate/scale a parcel that is fixed with the ArcGIS Pro 2.8.3 patch. The patch should be made available in the next couple of weeks.
