This is a recording from the OSACA 2024 conference in which @JasonCamerano demonstrates a few record-driven workflows, changing projections, applying a ground-to-grid correction, and more! Demos start around 3min:50sec @DanielStone discusses the road ahead 1h:38min:33sec John provides an overview of Branch Versioning 2h:09min:18sec Kudos to the ORMAP group for sharing this video on YouTube.

Looking at your data it looks like you forgot to create records. Parcel 333 was created and retired by record 333. Unless this is an interim parcel, we would expect a parcel to be created by one record, and retired later by another. The same applies for parcel 333/1. A normal workflow look like this: Record A created parcel 333 Record B splits parcels 333 and retires it. It also created 2 new child parcels 333/1 and 333/2 Record C .... You can see the problem if you analyze the CreatedByRecord and RetiredByRecord fields on your parcels. The record-driven workflows are well documented. The link chart is showing the correct results for a broken lineage.

@MDB_GIS I assume this is a 'quality-driven' workflow = you want to correct the geometry of the 3 selected parcels: Keep their attributes Not creating any parcel lineage (historic parcels) If this is correct, why not just shrink those parcels to seeds, modify their boundary lines ad then use Reconstruct from seed?

@Katie_Clark Unfortunately, I cannot provide you with a timeline at this time. It will not be implemented in the 'near-term' (next 1-2 releases. As a work around you can use a small python script to manipulate the definition query instead. A task step can call the script tool. Here is an example https://community.esri.com/t5/python-questions/arcgis-pro-modifying-layer-definition-query-via/td-p/258922

Another quote: By implementing ArcGIS Parcel Fabric, Douglas County can now deliver accurate data, updated automatically on a daily basis to meet the needs of departments including planning, assessors, and emergency services. Grindberg no longer has to manually work with data to prepare it for various uses. Thanks to automated processes in Parcel Fabric and integrations connecting it to other business systems within the county and partner agencies, data is no longer out-of-date by a week or a month, but accurate on a daily basis. @MizukiKayano2 Good point about "getting parcels out of the way" for cleanup purposes. Shouldn't that be its own tool? Like a "parcel magic wand" that makes parcels disappear until you press another button?

Thanks all for the enthusiastic reactions. IMHO, the support for the geodetic directions is needed for old survey documents. How old? before GNSS in which theodolites were used to establish them. However, it puzzles me to see surveyors use geodetic GNSS receivers, perform highly accurate static measurements to extract coordinates, and then convert those measurements (inverse) to geodetic "measurement". IMHO it just adds unnecessary complexity and you lose important metadata about the original measurements. With the move to dynamic reference frames (datum) perhaps this should be looked into... such historic document could fit nicely next to the theodolite in the display cabinet 😉

The Land Administration Domain Model (LADM) is an ISO standard (ISO 19152). LADM is a conceptual information model for Land Administration. The ArcGIS Parcel Fabric, released in 2019, is a physical implementation of LADM. This recording provides some background on both LADM and the parcel fabric, walks through the different terms used, demonstrates the parcel fabric's conformance with LADM, and shows how to implement it. Attached below is the LADM XML Workspace document. You can import it to a new geodatabase as demonstrated in this video. Feel free to leave a comment or ask any questions. Many thanks to Chrit Lemmen, Peter Van Oosterom and Eftychia Kalogianni for their support.

@MizukiKayano2 To fix the sliver, if you use 'Merge into Existing ' feature, it will preserve the feature and its GlobalID. See the screenshot above. You can probably use DBMS Views to show the Adds, Updates and Deletes.
