i believe that your issue is in the settings of flags. Try adding this code in the method didopenwebmap CAEAGLLayer *eaglLayer = (CAEAGLLayer *) self.mapView.layer; eaglLayer.drawableProperties = @{ kEAGLDrawablePropertyRetainedBacking: [NSNumber numberWithBool:YES], kEAGLDrawablePropertyColorFormat: kEAGLColorFormatRGBA8 };

I tried your solution but the problem is this Picture Marker Symbols take 'source' as the image source meaning the url of the image as input in XAML. Now I have the images in the feature layer uploaded on my ArcGIS online server, therefore I cannot retrieve the image url from there for each symbol to put into picture marker symbol.

Hi, How do you access picture marker symbols (like the one in the picture attached )in Feature Layers in order to render them on the map using C# and XAML [ATTACH=CONFIG]25715[/ATTACH] I have upgraded to ArcGIS 10.1 SDK from 2.4 but I still cannot access these symbols Regards Humza

Hi, Can any one enlighten me that in the build settings of a xcode project based on ArcGIS SDK, we normally write -all_load -ObjC -framework ArcGIS is it necessary to enter '-all_load' if we have already entered 'ArcGIS' flag and if we are only using one SDK in the whole code i-e arcGIS SDK? What purpose does writing ArcGIS serve in 'other linker flags' if we have already added -all_load.? Thanks and Regards Humza

I've tried -force_load $HOME/Library/SDKs/ArcGIS/iOS/Versions/Current/libArcGIS.a and -force_load $HOME/Library/SDKs/ArcGIS/iOS/ArcGIS.framework/Versions/Current/libArcGIS.a both didnt work. anyways if you found any work around for this please update. thanks 🙂 Hi, In your screenshot you wrote "AcGIS". Can you retype it to ArcGIS and then remove -all_load and check please? Regards Humza

Hi everybody, I have a basic question regarding map caching. Does any body knows if arcgis ios api supports map caching from a basemap? I know we can make tile packages and all using ARcMAp and other softwares on our PCs, but I want to add this functionality in my app. thanks Humza

Hi, AGSMapServiceInfo has a property called servicedescription which lets us access the mapservice description meta data. My question is that how can we access the "Description" in the sub layer of the mapservice. Thanks and Regards Humza

Hi, It seems like a basic question but does any one has any idea on how to remove a webmap from a mapview. By removing I mean deleting the webmap? There seems to be no 'Remove Webmap' method available in the AGSWebMap class. thanks Humza

Dear Shamin, Also one more thing, Isnt it better to use NSHomeDirectory() instead of TemporaryDirectory to store my json files because the files get deleted from NSTemporary directory? if the app is getting an offline start then NSHomeDirectory would be a better choice right? Thanks Humza

Hi Humza, In this case you need to initialise the feature layer from a feature layer definition json file which is created for you when you are online and taking it offline in the tmp directory of the app in the iphone simulator. I copied the FeatureLayerDefinition json file to the Documents directory of my app and always initialize the feature layer with the json file regardless of online or offline... Hope this helps.
