Hi Pottsk & f.aghyan, I'm just curious if either of you ended up implementing the custom code additions that MCooney-esristaff had suggested? I'm hosting my Story Map for the first time and am fairly new to editing the source code so I was looking for some pointers. Thanks, Warren

Hi Alison, Thanks for the explaination, it really clears things up. I'll relocate the images I'm using to my own web server and use them there for the time being. Warren

I recently created a shortlist story map using images that were hosted within my ArcGIS Online Organisation. Since creating the story map a number of the images have become inaccessible and the story map reports that it has issues. When I investigate those issues, I can open the link just fine and the image loads. My only thought is that the image is larger than recommended for the thumbnail. I will eventually rectify this but it was working fine up until today. Has anyone run into this before, and how do I fix it? My story map is public and available here: http://arcg.is/55fvv Thanks, Warren

Hi There, I have a large tabular dataset (320,000 records) that I've zipped up in a FGDB and uploaded to my ArcGIS Online Open Data content. I've done this before and then used the hosted table as a starting point for adding on new records via FME workbench as the new data is created in the source data. Once in a while my FME script can fail, due to dealing with the objectID in ArcGIS Online and it not being synched with the objectID of the source table. When this happens I occassionally have to overwrite this table in ArcGIS Online. I have tried to do exactly this the other day and upload a new zipped FGDB to overwrite the existing one. However, it hung up forever and didn't appear to complete and now when I go into AGOL the 'My Content' page will not load in order for me to delete the table and start fresh. Any suggestions, and anyone have some tips for keeping these datasets up to date while hosted in AGOL? I've been using FME but wrapping my head around the objectIDs is only successful 60% of the time. Warren

Michael, It seems like it's related to the relevant conditions of the fields. I've described my issue in greater detail here in hopes of some response: https://community.esri.com/thread/178491. I've found that it seems to be limited to iPads so maybe if someone has an iPhone kicking around the office you should see if that works... Warren

Hello, I'd like to report some strange behaviour I've encountered while using Survey123 (v1.4.30). I've designed a survey to allow our field staff to collect details pertaining to city playgrounds. There is a repeat component of the survey where they enter various features that they would observe in the playground, some of these features (but not all) have additional fields that describe more specific characteristics of the equipment. To reflect this I've implemented fields that are only relevant to the survey if a specific component type has been selected. This methodology works fine until the current component has been added and a new repeat is initiated, the required field constraint from the previous component type persists despite the field no longer being relevant. It would seem that this only impacts iPad deployments of the survey (using iPad Air 2 - iOS 9.3.1), I cannot replicate the issue using iPhone6 - iOS 9.3.2). So far I have only been able to avoid this glitch by removing the required constraint from all fields within the repeat section of the survey. I've attached my survey form for review. If anyone else has encountered this problem or has some suggestions give me a shout. Thanks, Warren

Hi Michael, I'm having an issue that sounds very similar to yours. When users in my survey make selections fields are made visible/invisible. I've found that when users enter another entry within a repeat section fields that were previously made visible persist despite no longer being relevant to the original question. So far I've only been able to replicate the issue of iOS iPads. Let me know if you encounter a solution, Warren

Hi Steffen, It turns out the reason our script was so incredibly slow was that we were saving geoprocessing metadata logs. So everytime we ran our reconcile and post process it would save metadata. Eventually this piled up until we had a conversation with support and we tried removing the metadata from the geoprocessing logs. This made everything fast again. You could look into this if you are experiencing the same performance issues. Warren

Ah yes, that bug with the CSV explains my missing records. I've since published my table as part of a feature service since I found out FME 2016 will have the ability to write to hosted tables in ArcGIS Online in the same way it can write to feature services. Thanks for the help!

Thanks Daniel Fenton and Andrew Turner, I will give the ArcGIS REST API a shot, I've been using FME to upload our open data so I think I should be able to put it together with an http call. I'll update this post when I make some progress. On a somewhat related note, any chance either of you can explain why my CSV in ArcGIS Online seems to be missing records from the original that I uploaded? Thanks, Warren

Hi Daniel Fenton, I have indeed uploaded a table as a CSV directly ArcGIS Online and I recognize that I can replace this item in order to update it with an updated source file. However, much of our data is sensor data or data that we would like to keep up to date on a daily basis. Therefore, my goal with this post was to seek out alternatives to would allow us to keep our data near real time without manually updating this information as it would be very labour intensive. With all of our other open data that has a spatial context we've been using FME to publish directly to the ArcGIS Online feature service. Ideally I would like to be able to do something very similar. When I did upload my CSV to ArcGIS Online I had it create a hosted table as well, would it not be possible to interact with the hosted table since it seems to have all the features of a feature service when I view the REST endpoint? I appreciate your suggestions, Warren

Hi There, I haven't found a solution to this yet... I briefly talked to Daniel Fenton and Courtney Claessens about this in Sand Diego this year, any chance you guys have some thoughts?

Hi There, I've just noticed that I have a data set that has been orphaned on my Open Data site. I deleted the service that was the parent and now I'm left with a data set that doesn't have a source and is stuck in my data catalogue with the default thumbnail (this ruins my hard work making all the branding cohesive ). After searching GeoNet, this appears to be similar to what Courtney Claessens was discussing with Venus Scott back in 2014 but I haven't been able to resolve it with the methods they discussed. I've refreshed the index several times and scoured my group for any trace of the offending service or feature service and can't find anything. To the best of my knowledge, my site is up to date so I think this should have been resolved. Does anyone know how I can delete this and clear it from my site? Here is my site: Home | City of Waterloo Open Data and the data item: http://opendata.city-of-waterloo.opendata.arcgis.com/datasets/fed19165446b4c0e9a3412e3d45cc9cb_4 Thanks, Warren

Hi There, I'd like to be be able to routinely update a table that I have published to my ArcGIS Open Data site. Has anyone implemented something like this? I've been creating it as a CSV and replacing it on our web server using a script but my Open Data site only references an external download. So users are unable to query and filter the data. Has anyone been able to update a table in a way that users can still interact with it as a feature service? Thanks, Warren
