Thank-you Bern for your time and all the info. I didn't have my attachments above labeled correctly, but they are showing from yes the new map viewer and then the older WAB with the standard date field. Actually in the newer WAB the date is showing fine. Its the older WAB app I have that has that number format for the date. Although you do bring up a question,I would like the sea surface temp, chlorophyll a, and some other Esri layers to display in a public facing web app. I had added these layers to my content storing credentials for the layers and then sharing those layers publicly. It is my understanding that this creates a proxy, but would not use credits is that true? Can these layers be used like this? Thank-you on logging the slider issue. The weird thing with WAB is if I use the filter widget with the sea surface temp with a query using the StandardDate field it displays all the dates as expected. Thanks for all your help, Kathy

Thank-you for taking a look. I ended up using WAB embedded in an Experience Builder app for viewing the time series data. I also added the sea surface temperature to a WAB that was created in AGOL from a web map a few years ago. Anyway I can't figure out for the pop-up in the WAB it is displaying the StandardDate field with a date of '1207180800000.000000' type of format. It looks fine in the web map with the date format. I've attached two screenshots. In the WAB for a different project the date is displaying just fine. Does a WAB application created in 2019 have the same capabilities/functions as a WAB created today? I'm trying to figure out why the difference and if there is a work around. Thanks, Kathy

Hello, I am trying to provide an app with living atlas layers like Sea Surface Temperature and Chlorphyll-a as environmental layers beneath other observations in an app. In the web map I have time enabled and the slider works well in moving thru the layers and viewing values. I've been trying various Instant Apps and liked the Slider for user friendly interface, but the raster values do not show in the pop-up like they do in the web map. The raster values showing is a requirement of the app. I would appreciate suggestions on the best app to use to view time series data and the raster values. I've included a screenshot from the web map that shows sea surface temperature and then a screenshot from the Slider Instant App that loses this functionality. Also, can I use the layers above in a public web app by authenticating my organization credentials? Thanks in advance, Kathy

Hi, I'm not sure if this is related, but I noticed today after upgrading both ArcGIS Pro to 3.0.3 and also data interop that I also cannot read from an AGOL table using the Reader or Feature Reader. The readers work fine for the polgyon and point layers, but not the tables. I can still connect in and read features in Pro 2.9 and data interop. This seems like a bug to me. I'm authenticated to AGOL if I can read the in the other shape feature but I have 2 related tables that are now are getting the error 'ArcGIS Online Feature Service Reader" Could not find a layer/table matching feature type 'table' The same readers find data from SQL Server tables no problem. Maybe this is what you are also experiencing John. Thanks, Kathy

Hi, What determines if the label/domain shows in the table/edit widgets in EB? We have a few apps set up and some tables show the labels and others show the code. In the edit widget, for editing records the widget shows the label which is great, but if you select a value, an error message, "Value should be one of the listed values." shows and you can't edit? This is probably related to the text label not being an integer value for the field. We can't find any setting to enable values/labels (coded domains) in either the table or edit widget. Appreciate your help in advance, Kathy

Thanks for the info on the legacy Tracker and future Location Sharing extension. Maybe you could provide one other piece of clarification. In our organization with tracker extensions we pay for Creator licenses we have 15. Since Location Sharing extension showed up in our organization, the total now shows 66. We have not purchased additional tracker extension. We do have mobile licenses (27) which I know include tracker/location sharing. This would equal 42 location sharing licenses total. I do not understand the 66 licenses. Did others also see this jump in licenses? Thanks again!

Hi, We have been using tracker extension in AGOL, but this year ArcGIS Location Sharing showed up as an additional extension. I was under the impression that Location Sharing was replacing Tracker? Could you provide more info on the differences. Thanks, Kathy

Hello, I am in the process of moving to EB from a dashboard to make use of more sql statements in the filter widget compared to dashboards specifically the 'contains'. I'm having trouble configuring the filter widget to get the results I want which for the most part was easily achievable in dashboards (except the contains). In the filter, I want all the clauses to update by all other expressions. For the second clause, this is a date field as text (works fine in dashboards) but it is not working even though the filter values update to those of the current year selected, the map does not update. I also feel the species list field with the contains statement is not updating based on other expressions (which is the sole reason I'm trying to move the app from dashboards. Is there any reason a text field can't be used in the sql? When I change the second statement to be the actual date format, the map updates as expected. Because of UTC/date conversions the date is a day off in AGOL hence the use of text. However, I would also like the second clause to be select multiple which is possible with text, but not date fields. I posted a reply on another post, but is there any control on being able to sort descending? The last clause I have put in predefine unique values (see attachments). Why does the sort order in the EB change from what is set to the other attachment? The sort order doesn't make any sense at least to me? I'm bummed to be transitioning from Dashboards only to be running into new obstacles. Update I see now that the 'Values filtered by all other expressions" is not available for the predefined unique values clause (darn) so I guess that makes sense why it is not updating. Although another weird thing is if I select a species for which I know there is no data based on the previous two filters, the map zooms to the Gulf of Guinea? Whereas the map area of intent is Alaska. Thanks for any insight, Kathy

What is the latest update on this? I have a dashboard all configured and now the missing functionality of "contains" in a selector is limiting the dashboard for one of the biggest project requirements in this case. Agree with all the other posts please implement this and I'm confused as to why the delay for so long. The "under consideration" is very frustrating to see years later.

Hello, I was trying to migrate a dashboard to EB for the sole reason of the filter option being able to have more flexibility in the statements. I need a filter that will select values from within a list so it was suggested to use EB. Similar to other posts here, I am finding the sort options not great. For instance, I would like to be able to filter the data by year and so I'm using all unique values. However I would like it to open with the most recent year as the default value. I tried creating a view with year values sorted descending but the filter still shows the years ascending. I also don't see an option to have the last year be the default. Is this possible? The frustrating thing is the dashboard selectors allow default values with first and last and apparently more functionality than the filter widget EB. However the dashboard selectors only have equal/does not equal for options hence the reason I'm trying to now use EB. Now I'm struggling with sort and default values in the EB filter. Hopefully I'm just overlooking settings. Thanks!, Kathy

Hello, I am working on an EB that has point layer with related tables. I would like to filter the map data and also have the table/feature info (with the related tables) filter. Is this possible? I've searched the Community and also around on the internet and can't find an answer. Every video and example keep referring to record selections and then related data is filtered/selected. Currently in the EB, I have added a filter which zooms and filters the point data based on the filter statement. The action in the filter has a trigger added to filter data and map Zoom To. This works fine. In the map, action tab there is a trigger added to Extent Changes -> framework data is filtered (point data). This works fine. Why is there not an option to add a trigger to Extent Changes to specify trigger and action data. This is an option in the Record Selection Changes trigger? This works fine to filter related table records when a point is selected in the map but it adds another step and not an obvious workflow to the user. (see screenshots) What is the best way to filter map data and the related tables reflect the dataframe filters? I read this blog article for Sept. 2022 by @ThomasCoughlin , but using the Search widget seems like a big step back in functionality needing to specify names, dates versus choosing from unique values. I still think the ease of selectors and filtering in dashboards is so much better. For this EB we are trying to use it as a way to edit survey data and related tables (very common in data collection) seems very remedial in EB. Thanks in advance, Kathy

Hello, I am tasked with creating a web map for use in a dashboard and currently stumped on how to achieve the symbology requested. The data I have is fish harvest (tabular records joined to polygon centroids). Fish harvest consists of 5 species, by default there was a species_type field and then a count field. So many records for a period of time for the same centroid point. Overall goal: points are color coded by predominant species harvested and sized based on species harvest compared to 'Total Harvest' in the map for the time period shown. So not at the feature level but map level. I also need to be able to filter by species in the dashboard. Goal 1: predominant species harvested (color code-coded or pie chart would be awesome). I transposed the data to have each species be a new field and then corresponding count for that species also as a new field. These were aggregated to certain dates. I followed the predominance mapping and arcade syntax in this ArcGIS Blog post : This works for symbolizing by predominant species harvested. However, I lose the ability to filter the data by species in the dashboard since now I have 5 species fields instead of one. Unless I am missing a way to configure the dashboard filter to search multiple fields? @KristianEkenes your article was so informative, but for predominance mapping is there a way to filter by predominant categories? Goal 2: Proportional sized predominant symbols based on the feature sum count to the overall map count. So the size of the symbol for fish harvest would be colored to show predominant species harvested (goal 1), but then sized proportional to the total harvest for that time period. Currently I can get a proportional symbol but the size is only relative to the total harvest at that centroid. I believe it would be equivalent to the $map harvest or data store, but these are not available at the symbology level. I would so very much appreciate any ideas. I would think predominance mapping is currently being used in dashboards?

Hi Brittany, I was also looking up on predominance mapping in AGOL and had followed this blog post creating the arcade syntax. A couple of questions for you, is the map above with the pie charts symbols in AGOL or Pro? I really like being able to easily see the breakdown you are showing with all the slices. When I looked up I think pie chart symbology is not yet supported in AGOL? Another question, I had transposed the data I have to new fields for each category. For instance I'm working with fish species and catch in a certain area. I consolidated catch records and moved species (5 of them) and counts to each have their own fields for the predominance mapping to work. The map is used in a dashboard and while the predominant species is mapped accordingly, I can no longer filter the dashboard map by species. I'm trying to figure out a way to have both (predominant species caught for a time period) but also be able to filter by species. Prior to transposing there was a species field and count, so many records for one period of time, but I could filter by species. In short to relate to your map above, how would you filter the map for one the categories such as all areas with 'Mobile' in a dashboard"? I would appreciate any ideas! Thanks, Kathy Thanks, Kathy
