These instructions from Esri should guide you. install and set up | ArcGIS for Developers For Lambda - I believe the package needs to be compiled in Linux environment for it to work properly. You'll need a linux machine to do so...you can create a new one on ec2. For Existing Python - Virtual environments seem to be the way to go. Consider creating a new virtual environment and installing arcgis api through conda.

Figured this out... Use Amazon EC2 and spin up a free tier Linux instance. Install Python 3.6 Install Anaconda and use Conda to install the ArcGIS Modules Zip up the install directory along with your Lambda_function.py file and upload it to Lambda (or s3) Dependencies required for Lambda to work include ArcGIS, NumPy, Pandas and PyTz Putty Tools were a good resource to work between Windows and Linux environments

While I'm not sure what esri may be doing to improve this, I'm still seeing the delay. A few things that have helped me and you might be able to implement depending upon your survey configuration: Reduce the number of items in pick lists Separate into multi surveys Also, are you up to date on versions both desktop and mobile? Maybe that would help? I know an update was pushed to my phone on the 17th. It looks like Survey123 website got an overhaul last week. Maybe some additional behind the scenes updates were implemented too. We have crews out in the field so I didn't want to redownload the desktop app but maybe the desktop version has been updated? I couldn't see a version while browsing the website. My 2 cents.

Fasil, I was able to follow up with the field crews last night. The gentleman who is experiencing the upload problem does in fact have an out-dated version of the survey. Is there anyway to get the content off his device now that the feature service and associated survey123 content on the web has been deleted. Any help is much appreciated.

Thank you for the reply. I am unsure of versioning. I believe it was installed on the devices early this week (likely 1.1.16). it appears as though an update has been 'pushed' to my device (i'm not sure about the field crews) last night November 17 and my own device is now running 1.1.18. Could that be a problem? I'll tell them to try and redownload the surveys...Any other suggestions? what about the token error? Thanks.

Fasil, This is likely not the case. I will investigate though. The user has 4 surveys on his device 2 sync successfully and 2 do not. he is the only one out of the 10 team members with the issue. He would not have an older version of the survey. If the user redownloads the survey will they lose all data already collected? in the meanwhile, another team member just received the attached error on the same survey and he has been successfully syncing these surveys. Any thoughts?

Thank you for the prompt reply. They surveys do still exist. We have a crew of about 10 people and only 1 team member is experiencing the issue I describe above all other members are successfully syncing their surveys. Any other thoughts?

Greeting, I recently updated my survey 123 app(1.1.16) and desktop software(1.1.19). My app now takes nearly a minute to load every time. Previously they were loading within 5-10 seconds. Additionally, Survey123 website also exhibits a latency I did not encounter before. Is this a known problem or it is on my end? My xlsForm is attached Thank you.

I believe that the sharing privileges set up in the ArcGIS Online environment are not honored by the survey 123 app. Example: I share my survey (feature service) with a given group through the ArcGIS Online environment and not all users who are part of that group can view it... However, when I change the sharing settings from the survey123 website, users in the group are able to view the survey. Does sharing have to be configured from the Survey123 website? ArcGIS Online? or both? Thanks.

Enable editing and allow editors to: Add, update, and delete features - IS Enabled Allow others to export to different formats - is NOT enabled Syncing - is NOT Enabled Keep track of who created and last updated features - IS Enabled There ARE attachments associated with the Feature Service I was able to export to JSON (but I only did it for testing purposes. I don't know what I'd do with my results). I did not try shapefiles or anything else thinking they wouldn't retain the attributes... I'll follow up with my contact info. Thank you.

What roles do individuals need in AGO to view my survey? I work in a large organization and different users have different roles. Even when users are part of a "group" and the survey (feature layer) has been shared with that group, they still can not see them... Some users can and others can't, is there a listing of appropriate privilege for users to view surveys? Thank you
