Hi Sam, What version of ArcGIS Pro are you using? We've had a user report this issue and that they resolved it by upgrading to 2.2.3. Are you using the latest Pro version? Have you been able to successfully publish in the past from this same machine? Anything change since then if so? Unfortunately, a lot of our cases with this error have been related to a bad Windows user profile or a bad install of the software. If you aren't using the latest version of Pro, I would upgrade and see if that resolves the issue. Jonathan

Fengchao, Do you see this same behavior with an out of the box geoprocessing tool in ArcGIS Pro or just this custom toolbox? If it is specific to this custom toolbox and you can narrow down exactly in the Python script where it fails, we could look this over in Support and see if this is an issue on the software end. If it happens with out of the box tools as well, we definitely want to know about it. Jonathan

Hi Crow, If I understand correctly, the question here really is, how can I have multiple editors edit the same data at the same time? Is that right? Versioning is the technology that would allow you to do this on local maps (you could even use branch versioning to edit the services in the published maps) but it requires an Enterprise geodatabase. Are you working with one? Or a file geodatabase or shapefiles? An overview of traditional versioning—ArcGIS Help | ArcGIS Desktop If you are working with a file geodatabase or shapefiles, then you wouldn't be able to have multiple people edit the same data at the same time (it would cause a schema lock when the first person started editing). As far as a way to share maps on your local network, can you use a shared network drive setup by your IT department? It would be the easiest way. Jonathan

Hi Emily, OK, that makes sense. There may be a way to accomplish this using ArcGIS Pro if you have access to it. Since you are trying to link documents, you could add them all as attachments. See this idea below and Kory's reply on it: https://community.esri.com/ideas/7886 Jonathan

Hi Emily, The answer here is, it depends on what your goal is and how you want to set things up. Is it possible to have more than 1 URL associated with a feature class in ArcMap? Sure, just add multiple attribute fields to the feature class for each URL. You can then identify the feature and click on the desired URL. If you want to use the Hyperlink functionality in ArcMap then yes you would be limited to one field and one URL per field. Some more information on Hyperlinks below: Using Hyperlinks—Help | ArcGIS Desktop But if you give us some more information on what your end goal is here, we may be able to provide a way to do it. Hi Martin, This article deals specifically with attachments but the first few steps are still applicable to your question. This would be a good way to get the edits made in Collector back into the original file geodatabase. Hi Peter, I agree with Tom that Support should troubleshoot this performance issue. If you haven't already, I'd recommend calling the number Tom provided and letting them create a case for you. We can run some tools on this end to figure out what's going on. In regards to question 1 though, the recommended way to sync the data back and forth, if you could let me know your response to my question earlier that would help determine the best workflow there. Or if you'd like to send me an email directly, that's fine too. jfarmer@esri.com Thanks, Jonathan

Hi Peter, When you published to AGOL, did you choose to actually host the data in AGOL or did you publish the data to ArcGIS Server and then use the feature service URL to work with the data in AGOL? If you did publish to ArcGIS Server, did you reference the data in the geodatabase or host it in Data Store? The performance issues you are seeing in Pro could be related to something on the client side or it could be something on the database side. But we are aware of an issue in Pro where the Catalog Pane (the window on the right side of the Pro interface) is quicker to use than the Catalog View (the large window in the middle of the interface). Are you using the Catalog Pane or the Catalog View? If it isn't that simple, we may need some more information on exactly what is slow on your end. Jonathan

Hi Tom, I'm going to create a Support case for you to log a bug for this Locate issue. You are correct, the Locate tool will not find a GlobalID value even though that field is listed as a choice when setting up the layer. That's a bug. As a workaround, use Select By Attributes. It will allow you to choose that particular GlobalID value and then find it in the table and on the map for you. This works for me. I'll reach out shortly from the case. Jonathan

Hi Tom, OK, I see what you do in the video but I want to make sure all the scenarios match up. When I am working with a feature service or data coming from an enterprise geodatabase, either in ArcMap or ArcGIS Pro, I see that we sort the GlobalID fields by the last set of characters. Ascending: {E13D9E6D-06CC-4CCF-9BC6-0011D61A3DDB} Descending: {66595284-1337-4B3C-B315-FEE424F42CF0} However, when working with a mobile geodatabase, we sort that same GlobalID field by the first set of characters. We also sort this way for a file geodatabase. Ascending: {091A6365-E29F-487A-A063-3376D024AF24} Descending: {898F25E2-5740-450E-8E04-1441F3F51ECC} I see this same behavior in both Desktop clients and at different versions of each so it does look like this is expected. But from what you are telling me, you see ArcMap sort feature services and enterprise geodatabases by the first set of characters and not the last? If that is the case it may need a Support case because that isn't what you should see based on testing this here. Jonathan

Tom, Well I thought I could reproduce this but now I'm not so sure. ArcMap, both online and offline and Pro, offline, sort like this: Ascending: {E13D9E6D-06CC-4CCF-9BC6-0011D61A3DDB} Descending: {66595284-1337-4B3C-B315-FEE424F42CF0} You can see that it is starting its sort with the last set of numbers (0011D61A3DDB vs. FEE424F42CF0). But I still see that same sorting behavior with Pro online as well. We are still sorting by that last section. It is hard to see from the GIF exactly what is happening on your end. Can you attach a video to this thread so I can take a closer look at the differences between Pro online and offline on your end? Jonathan

Thanks for the additional information Tom. I see the issue now. When you stated things weren't sorting, I figured they weren't sorting at all. But the behavior is different in Pro when online vs. off compared to ArcMap. I see what you do. Let me look into this some more and I can get back with you. Jonathan

Tom, I just took the URL for this data and added it to Pro. In both 2.2.3 and 2.2.1 on my end, it will sort by GlobalID both ascending and descending. If I sort ascending, I get: {a8cc2e69-4148-4ae9-9861-00594bbaa163} If I sort descending, I get: {064308cd-9f49-4cf1-bb9c-ff4b299139e9} It is hard to tell from the gif exactly what you see on your end but I take it these results aren't it? Hi Tom, I just tested this on my end with Pro 2.2.3 and I can sort both ascending and descending using the GlobalID field on a feature service. What happens when you try to? An error? Or is the option grayed out? Jonathan
