Hi Ben, I just tested with that exact setup and don't see the issue. I tested both with a non-spatial table and a feature class, both with over 20,000 records each. I'm still wondering if this may have something to do with how Pro is reading the owner of the table as I mentioned in my second post yesterday. Can you actually create a new connection to this database in the Catalog pane (right click Databases > New Database Connection) and see if the same behavior occurs? What user are you using to connect to the database? You might try a different user as well. Jonathan

Ben, Couple more pieces of information I remembered after posting. I've run into this exact issue most often with these 2 problems: The column headers have spaces, invalid characters, unsupported characters. See more below. But looking at your video, I think you are OK here. FAQ: What characters should not be used in ArcGIS for field names and table names? The field data types are not supported in ArcGIS. Since you said this was a non-spatial database table, this is also something to look at. DBMS data types supported in ArcGIS—Help | ArcGIS Desktop One thing that does stand out from that video. Do you see in ArcMap where the table is in the DBO schema? So it says "authlive.dbo.tablename". When you go to add the table in Pro, I also see the same schema. But when you actually add the table to the TOC, it comes in as "authlive."Albury/Benva".tablename". I just tested with Pro 2.2.4 on my end and all tables in the DBO schema come in under the DBO schema just like I expect. So is this happening with all tables in the DBO schema in Pro for you? Or just this one? Might be worth taking a closer look as to why this is happening. Jonathan

Hi Ben, The part of your post that sticks out to me is "The table I am trying to add is a view from a Civica Authority DB...". What is the actual DBMS you are using here? What version? Also, what version of Pro? We have had some bugs in Pro in the past with this same error but they are usually pretty specific to a certain workflow or setup. Jonathan

Hi Alberto, We'd probably recommend they stick to the non-online option here. the ONLINE keyword rebuilds the indexes while still allowing queries against them. It also means there is some cleanup needed after the process is done to capture anything that was done while the indexes were being rebuilt. Our documentation uses the non-online option so that is what I'd recommend to your user. FAQ: What indexes in Oracle should be frequently rebuilt to maintain optimal performance with versioned tables? ALTER INDEX REBUILD (See the Usage Notes section, second paragraph on what ONLINE does) Jonathan

Hi Silvan, Unfortunately, FileMaker is not one of our supported DBMS platforms. For a list of what we do support, see the link below. Supported database management systems—Help | ArcGIS Desktop Thanks, Jonathan

Hi Josh, Yeah, this doesn't seem to be easily reproducible here. I just tried another test, editing a feature that is not registered as versioned, then (while still in the edit mode) registering the feature dataset as versioned, and then editing again. I didn't see any locks on my end. At this point, we'd start looking for reasons as to why the locks are not releasing. Maybe something in the software is causing it? Something with the machine? The account that is being used to connect to the database? Just some of the paths we'd go down next. If you do want to troubleshoot this further, you can always create a case with Support. There may be some little piece of our workflows that are different that is making a difference here. Jonathan

Hi Josh, Thanks for that workflow. I still can't seem to reproduce the behavior so I'll go through my workflow here and you can let me know if something is off. Open an existing Pro project. This one happens to have a map inserted and some connections made to Enterprise geodatabases already Expand one of my geodatabase connections in the Catalog pane and choose a feature dataset that is not registered as versioned Drag that feature dataset into the map so all it's contents are displayed Right click the feature dataset in the Catalog pane and go to Manage > Register as Versioned In the Contents pane, I do see that each layer has a lock symbol next to it during this process. Once the process ends, the locks go away The map will refresh and then I can go to the Edit tab and click Create to add new features without issue. I'm using Pro 2.2.4 on my end. Anything stand out as different here? Jonathan

Hi Josh, Can you tell me more about your workflow where you see this issue? I did some quick testing on my end and I can be in the middle of creating new features or updating attributes in Pro and register or un-register the feature dataset as versioned. I only actually get a lock when the versioning process is underway. Jonathan

Hi Vitaly, I think we need a case opened with Support to troubleshoot this. If there is an issue with outStatistics in our later versions that is not present in the earlier versions, we need to better understand it. Can you contact Support so they can create a case for you on this? Jonathan

Vitaly, If you submit the same queries directly from REST and do not use the web application, do you see the same behavior? It may help to narrow this down some more if we can to rule out an issue specifically on the application side. Jonathan

Hi Vitaly, I would bet your ArcGIS client machine is running out of disk space to store the scratch files for the operation. See the technical article below: Error: ERROR 000426: Out Of Memory Do you have background processing on? Sometimes that will clear this issue up without needing to do anything else. Otherwise, I would keep an eye on Task Manager when running the Intersect to see what kind of resources are being used during the process. Jonathan

Hi Crow, You could certain edit a hosted feature layer from AGOL in ArcGIS Pro. You are correct, you would access that data through the Portal tab in the Catalog pane. The data would need to be editable obviously. The issue you may run into is that the data would act the same was as editing non-versioned data in a file geodatabase (or anywhere else). The last person to save edits wins. In other words, the last person to save their edits will overwrite anything that is done by anyone else beforehand. There is no structure to separate out edits or look for edit conflicts. It is the same way it works in Desktop now for you guys. There is no issue with downloading data from AGOL, modifying it, and republishing it. It is a perfectly valid workflow. Others may choose to keep the local copy of the data be the authoritative copy of the data and then upload it to AGOL when they want to update the data there. But both are perfectly fine. Let me know if you have any further questions. Jonathan

Hi Sam, Is the support case still open? Do you have a case #? Let me know how the uninstall and reinstall goes. Are there any other users in your organization that use Pro and can successfully publish from their machines? If so, can you login to their machines with your Windows user and see if you still see this error or not? May help narrow things down a bit. Jonathan

Hi Michael, I would first do an upgrade if not at the latest version to see what impact that has. But if they do want to uninstall and reinstall, then they can go through the process in Control Panel as they normally would.
