Looks like you are right about edraw.... seems Jeremie was aware of some measurement issues and has accounted for it. I just tested a pre-release that was posted for the edraw widget and the measurements are now correct in a projected environment. Ill move to that one too when it is officially released.

Success! So I've just learned that using the WABDE user interface to add a widget to your app will only copy the widget folder from the stemapp folder the first time you add a widget to the app, not subsequent times. That should have been obvious, sloppy on my part! Thanks so much for your time! Is it best practice to can all these comments and replace with one simplified problem/resolution comment, or just leave them all in?

I hate to post this but i am getting the same result! Perhaps the most recent download at the top of the page is somehow still the old version? Is there some specific line of code i can search for to se if it is the updated version? Thanks!

Thanks for testing! In some way i am relieved that its not some big deep problem with our programming in the application! I also just did a test and went to an arcgis online basemap and the widget shows measurements as expected. For what its worth sorry for bringing this all up!

Hey Tom, we are working in meters as set in the display of the mxd... That said where do you set the map service units, is that just based on the projection and the display units? The distance discrepancy doesnt match the conversion from feet to meters, though. something that should be ~10m shoes up as ~7m

Thanks for the reply! Unfortunately we are internal only so you wouldn't be able to access my map/app. I don't believe it is any issue with your widget as I see the same issue with other custom widgets. Something about our setup must be causing the discrepancy. I think i will post on the web app builder forum about custom measurement widgets and distance discrepancies. Thanks for taking the time to check on your end!

Hey Tom this tool is a big step up from the out of the box included widget, thanks! I am noticing measurements in this widget do not match those of known distances as confirmed in desktop arcmap and the out of the box widget. Our basemap is nad83 utm zone 10. The measurements from the widget are about 70% the length of what they should be. apparently this is close to the difference that can be seen between web Mercator and a projected measurement (Area and Distance Measurements ) Do you have any thoughts on why we are experiencing this? One thing to note, we are seeing the same discrepancy with eDraw widget Hopefully its something simple we are missing!? Thanks! Don

Hi thanks for the reply. I understand there is a [user-select] attribute that can be placed in css that will allow the text selection. Any thoughts on which css file and controller this would go into? Thanks! Don

Hi, I would like users to be able to highlight or select text from the attribute table in Web Appbuilder. For instance, a user could open a table, then highlight, copy, and paste a value from a cell in the table to a text document. It appears as though selecting text is disabled in web appbuilder and other javascript based websites. Does anyone have a solution or know the properties i can add/remove/adjust in the attribute table or application code? Thanks!

Do you mean there is also no programmatic solution or just not an out of the box user interface solution? for instance we can hide regular spatial layers like what is pasted below from thread Re: Can I remove layers from my LayerList in a WAB created map? We have not been able to get this to work for tables though pasted frinm In your app, you have the widgets folder, and inside that you find the LayerList folder. In there, there's a config.json. For now it should look like : { "showLegend": true } Supposing you want to hide the "zoom in" layers, change it into : { "showLegend": true, "hide" : ["IOT_1553_8354", "IOT_1318_5629"] } Then you open LayerListView.js. Line 50 looks like : drawListNode: function(layerInfo, level, toTableNode) { Change it into : drawListNode: function(layerInfo, level, toTableNode) { if(this.config.hide && this.config.hide.indexOf(layerInfo.id) >= 0) { return;
