I recently had this same portion of code go haywire after I made a change in a completely different part of my custom popup HTML in Current map viewer. After MANY lost hours it was found that if you open the map in Classic map viewer, put in the original code and then make changes, OK out and Save the map there, when you go back in to Current map viewer the changes will stick and the code will work again.  However, if you make ANY changes in Current map viewer, the status bar code will break again.   If anyone from Esri want to see me demonstrate this HTML changing behavior in Current map viewer in real time, contact me and I will do a screenshare with you! Thanks Corey. I saw this workaround and implemented. I do have a question on that thread as well re: perimeter units of area shapes. I would still like the config to be directly accessible in the Instant App configuration interface though, so I'ma gonna leave this idea up. ... View more

This is awesome.  Cumbersome to get to and it would be better if the config options were available from the Instant App configuration interface, but still awesome that this is at least possible. Question though - I have my linear unit set to "feet" and my area unit set to "acres", but when the tool is used in the app while the area is reported in acres the perimeter of the shape is still reported in miles.  Any way to change that to "feet" as well? ...
