Also, to piggyback on George's reply: Do any of the other 5 to 10 distributed users experience the same issue as you?

Not sure about your environment but another consideration is performance. Unversioned data is much faster as there are fewer "other" tables for the DB Engines to sort through.

Thanks again! As for the utility network we are in the process of migrating to it but the feature in question is not currently in the Utility Network. Cheers

Thanks George. I think that there is a disconnect between the summary of the tool and usage statement. Regardless, our issue is that we want to use the tool on a FC that exists in SDE and is registered with the DB. The FC is a utility asset and we would like this functionality within the Enterprise. Any ideas of other tools for incrementing ID's when features are added? I currently use DB triggers to increment ID's so I was hoping for something else, like this tool. Regards

I am trying to add an Incrementing ID Field to a feature class using ArcGIS Pro 2.2.0 using the following tool - Add Incrementing ID Field The summary of the tool states that: "The Add Incrementing ID Field tool adds a database-maintained ID field to an existing table or feature class..." The Usage Description of the tool states: "This tool can only be used with database tables, not geodatabase tables." We are trying to add the field to and Enterprise SDE Feature Class as described in the summary but are now receiving the following error: ERROR 000152 You cannot add an incrementing ID field to a table registered with the geodatabase. 1. Has anyone out there had experience and success using the tool ? 2. Our feature classes are enterprise FC's not tables so is the summary of the tool incorrect? Thanks for any help and clarification in what I may be doing wrong or missing!

You cannot copy/paste the feature class because it participates in the Geometric Network. You should try the Export to Geodatabase (Single)... command from ArcCatalog or the Feature Class to Feature Class GP tool to copy the feature to a location of your choice.

You may want to refine exactly what you mean by hardness. Hardness can mean different things to different audiences. Some may think of hardness as the literal dissolved calcium or magnesium definition or some think of hardness as all dissolved minerals in water, both surface and conveyed. You may be able to create your own features from the simple USGS maps at the following locations. Hardness in water, USGS Water Science School USGS NAWQA: Quality of Water from Domestic Wells in the United States Hope this helps. Peter

Our organization too was having this issue today and the solution is in fact item #2 that Rupert from Esri outlined. We had a URL to an old non-functioning geocode service which was causing the issue. Not sure why this is still an issue and has yet to be fixed but thought I would co-sign on the correct response.

My agency is looking for a good data model for Public Transit features like bus shelters. Our county manages the bus stops and I could create a data model from their data model, or something like the Federal BTS Stop Locations, but I thought I would ask the professionals here first. The release of the LGIM that we currently have downloaded is lacking in public transit features. Thanks in advance.

I have a need to use my current Dual Range address locator to geocode locations derived by an external application. Currently, the input table has records in the following format: 100-115 S Main St, Your City, CA, 90000. Records in this format consistently return as unmatched but when viewing candidates in the Interactive Rematch dialog, candidates do exist. How can I return matches without having to manually rematch? Thanks!

We had this same error with editing and replication since 10.1 was released. A little known Esri Quality Improvement Patch was released earlier this year for 10.1 SP1 users and can be found here ArcGIS 10.1 SP1 for (Desktop, Engine, Server) Quality Improvement Patch | Samples and Utilities . After installing the patch we do not have the "Read Only" any longer.
