Sometimes when I see strange behaviors such as this, I recommend a soft reset of ArcGIS Pro. You can see how to do this here - and in reviewing the internals case reports, this does seem to resolve this issue.

Agree with Dan, I think you may be running into an issue with available harddrive space. This technical article provides some insight on how to clear ArcGIS Pro temporary files and maybe, just maybe, allow the GP tool to finish.

To my knowledge, there is no way to lock the ribbon open. This may be worth contributing an ArcGIS Idea for this item as there is not one currently.

True. That would work but the new *.aprx would reference all the Pro project folder information stored with the original project folder. If that's not an issue, you could certainly do the "save as" option.

I would recommend creating a project package using the workflow here to move to a different folder on the network. As referenced in the Help documentation - "Enterprise database data, UNC path data, styles, and connections in your map are referenced rather than copied to the project package."

@KeithAddison1 - I think I have a workflow that may work better. In ArcGIS Pro, there is a Favorites style you can use to create new symbols and color schemes. Since you have an existing color scheme that you'd like to make into a style, here's what you can do. 1. In the Contents Pane, click the Color Scheme to open the Symbology Pane. 2. Click the dropdown menu for Color Scheme and then click "Format color scheme..." 3. Bottom left of the Color Scheme Editor, click the "Save to a style..." button. 4. In the "Save Color Scheme As" window, fill in the name, category, tags and select Favorites if not already selected. 5. Click OK twice. 6. Open the Catalog View, then click Styles and Favorite. The recently created color scheme is now part of your Favorites style.

So it appears you extracted the GISBasics folder to your C:\users\sabrina.shultz\downloads directory instead. What you could do is create a new folder on your C:\ drive called EsriTraining. Then go the C:\users\sabrina.shultz\downloads directory and cut the GISBasics folder. Then paste it to the newly created C:\EsriTraining folder. Then everything should match to the lesson.

To get my attribute table to filter based on the Page Query, I did go in and do some field calculation in a new field called PageName. Those features that intersected A1, I calculated A1 and so on. Then the Page Query workflow worked. Not sure why this is needed as ArcMap did not require this workflow.

Two things to try based upon Esri Support Services cases: 1. Log out of ArcGIS Pro and sign back in. In some cases, this fixes the issue. 2. Sometimes the *.aprx is referencing an unsupported locator, say 10.6. Find that locator and move it to a new location. Then start the *.aprx in question. Does the error message persist?

2 days ago! Well that's a bummer! But I believe I've figured it out as I have ArcMap and ArcGIS Pro on my laptop. In ArcMap, what you had to do was go to Layers Property, click the Definition Query tab followed by the Page Definition button. In the new window, you would enable the property and identify the field name that had the correct page name field and then click "match" for the show features that radio button. Now in Pro, you go to the Layer Properties as well but click the Page Query tab. In that tab, identify the same field as ArcMap and match as well. Voila - the attribute table only shows those features that meet the Page Query. PageDefQuery.JPG PageDefQuery_ArcGISPro.JPG

I followed your workflow and did see the dotted blue lines when adding a bezier curve to my sketch. I'm using ArcGIS Pro 3.2.2. What you may want to do is a soft reset of your ArcGIS Pro application. You can find the instructions on how to do so here. Afterwards, try the workflow again. Do (or do they not) blue dotted lines return?

Gotcha - thank you for the clarification. Question - do you have a screen grab of the ArcMap UI area where the attribute table is filtered by the Page Query?

I don't think there's a way to do this natively in the app but you can go to your Windows Display settings and in the Scale and Layout section, change the size of text, apps and other items from 100% to 125%. This will increase the size of not only the highlighted area but everything in the app. There is a related ArcGIS Pro here you can upvote on and provide more visibility to the ArcGIS Pro Dev Team.

This sounds like ENH-000165385 - "Improve error messaging when making improper configurations to Costs in Network Dataset" When using a Field Script Evaluator for a Cost in a Network Dataset, if you enter the Fields Alias instead of the Field Name, when you hit OK to close the Network Dataset Properties an error appears "The network dataset was not updated." Instead of providing this nondescript error, providing something that indicates the Field was not entered correctly, or the syntax of the expression was incorrect would be more helpful.
