Okay, let's keep on working on some other ideas then.  Do you have any cached map services in the *.mxd?  If so, then it could be a bug (BUG-000107314). Another option for troubleshooting (in addition to the blog article) is the following: Open Windows Explorer and go to the following path on your computer and navigate to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common iles\ArcGIS\Desktop10.0\Configuration\CATID If the CATID folder exists, it will contain files which have an ECFG extension. These files initialize 3rd party extensions that may exist on your computer that were installed for previous versions of ArcGIS Desktop. If the CATID folder exists, rename the folder as CATID_old. Maximilian - the Construct Sight Lines and Line of Sight output is expected behavior.  If you want to delete the lines that are classified Not Visible, you could do a Select by Attribute with the query VisCode=2 and delete those lines vs. manually deleting vertices or cutting lines.  This "should" resolve the issues of lines moving upward on your buildings. ... Is the ArcGIS Online service a Map Image Layer or a Feature Layer?  The reason I ask is I found a similar Esri Support Services case that's very close to what you're experiencing.  Granted it's an ArcMap case, but I would think the logic applies in Pro.  Below is the text from the case: "When a map service is added into an ArcGIS online map viewer or in content, it is treated as a "Map Image Layer". This is the case where all the layers are essentially treated as map services, whose response to the Map Viewer client is an "Export to Map" function. This function returns a snapshot of your data in its true symbology. This is the reason why it retains the symbology that you have set in the MXD. When a single layer in a map service is added into an ArcGIS online map viewer or in content, it seems to be treated as a "Feature Layer". This is the case where all the layers seem to be treated as feature services and have different rules for symbology in ArcGIS clients.
