ArcGIS Pro and ArcMap can run side by side regardless of the release number.  For example, you could run ArcMap 10.5.1 side by side with ArcGIS Pro 2.2.2 with no issues.  For the most part, there is no backwards compatibility from AGP to ArcMap.  Now when you talk about geodatabases, there are no AGP geodatabases and ArcMap geodatabases, they're just geodatabases.  The only incompatibility I've seen I've seen is with geodatabase annotation.  ArcMap authored annotation is considered "read-only" in AGP.  If you want to edit/delete ArcMap authored annotation, then you must upgrade the dataset.  By doing so, the annotation feature class is no longer readable in ArcMap.  Hope this helps! ... A few things to consider with regard to privacy and ArcGIS Pro: Licensing - you can configure AGP to be single use, concurrent use or named user (AGOL or Portal).  If you configure AGP for single use/concurrent use, nothing is being collected.  If you use ArcGIS Enterprise and set up your Portal for ArcGIS, all licensing and data is stored on your own hardware, behind your own firewall. I would export the geodatabase out using Export XML Workspace Document, then copy it via a thumb drive (or network share) to the new PC.  Create a new file geodatabase on the new machine and Import XML Workspace Document.  Voila!  Copied over! ... View more

Instead of Iterate Rasters, how about using Iterate Workspaces using a wildcard of *  and the Workspace Type set to FOLDER.  The next GP tool to connect would be the Workspace to Raster Dataset tool.  From there, run the Create Mosaic Dataset GP followed by Add Rasters to Mosaic Dataset that connects to the FOLDER created above.  Mind you, this is all top of my head for workflow but I think it could work. ... Charles - I don't see anything about the freehand construction tool for a Split function in AGP 2.2.2 nor is there an ArcGIS Idea for it.  But with regard to deleting multiple vertices at the same time - yes - with the vertex minus command, hold down your left mouse button and draw a freehand lasso around the vertices to delete.  Not exactly in the vein of while editing a sketch but it can be done. ...
