It could be interpreted as ArcScene or ArcGIS Pro but I'd have to start the lesson and review the materials to know for certainty. My suspicion is many of the older technology web courses are being phased out in favor of more current GIS technologies. In fact, Esri Training lists pending/retired courses here.

Chuck - I did a keyword search on ArcScene on the Esri Training webpage and found 3 courses that may be of interest to you. ArcScene and ArcGlobe are old 3D viewers that are shipped with the 3D Analyst extension. A more capable 2D/3D application to consider is ArcGIS Pro. The rendering/graphics/speed are vastly improved over the older Scene/Globe viewers. ArcMap is slowly being retired with ArcGIS Pro the replacement. As such, ArcScene and ArcGlobe will also be phased out as well. Hope this helps!

One possible workflow to move AGP projects to a laptop for emergency/remote work locations is to use a ArcGIS Pro Project Package. Granted it does make a copy of your data so there is that. Do you need the backup to reference the same data on your network vs. data in the project package?

Yes, there's another workflow that "might" work - Collect Events - to create a weighted point feature class. You may have to run the Integrate GP tool prior if your points are not coincident.

I believe the Merge geoprocessing tool will accomplish what you're seeking to do. Test it though on copies of your data.

Whenever there's a major release of AGP, such as 2.4.0, I typically do a clean uninstall/reinstall to avoid any strangeness such as this. One quick way to remedy is to rename the ESRI folder in your C:/Users/<user profile>/AppData/Roaming and C:/Users/<user profile>/AppData/Local folders to ESRI_Old. This will clear out any user settings for all ESRI products locally installed on your PC. Restart AGP. Do the System tools return?

You're welcome Jamal. It is possible to get connections remembered by Default. Once you build the connection in the Catalog Pane, right click on the connection and select "Add to New Projects". All new projects going forward will have the connections listed in the Catalog Pane.

AGP can make connections to root directories (C:, D:, etc.). As show in the screen grab, right-click the Folders item, select the Add Folder Connection in the Catalog Pane, navigate to Computer on the left side of the Add Folder Connection UI, select the root drive you wish - C: for example - then click OK. It's now added to your AGP project. Further if you want AGP to remember the root drive in all new AGP projects, right click the root directory in the Catalog Pane and select Add to New Projects. Now AGP will always remember to add the root drive to all new projects.

Question for you: Is the annotation feature class originally created in ArcMap or ArcGIS Pro? If originally created in ArcMap, then it's considered "read-only" in AGP and one needs to run the Upgrade Dataset GP tool to set it to "read/write" in AGP. But be warned, once upgraded to AGP annotation, it's no longer useable in ArcMap.

A couple questions - what's the output format of your raster dataset? If it's a standalone GRID, try to set the output raster to a file geodatabase format. Also, what is the data in projected or geographic coordinate systems?

Joe - is the data you're attempting to edit a part of a Geometric Network by chance? If so, then is it possible to move your data to the new Utility Network model to then edit it? As you may know, GN's are not supported in AGP and as such, are read-only. Let me know if this does/does not resolve your editing issue. Thx!

David - I "think" the categories of "Reviewed"/"In Product Plan"/etc. are set by Esri staff but I could be wrong. The internals say this enhancement request is Tech Review Complete so I would think it's moving forward. One thing you can do is call Esri Support Services and associate your customer number to the Enhancement Request. Always a good thing to do!

David - apologies for the late response - was out of country teaching. From my research the ENH request listed shows "In the Product Plan." What this means is the next 1 to 2 AGP releases - figure either 2.5 or 2.6. I wish I had a better timeframe from the internals but that's what is listed.
