There is a Create Random Points geoprocessing tool in ArcMap or ArcGIS Pro with a "constraining feature class" parameter that might do the trick!

Just a thought, but you could go to your ArcGIS Online account (Content), delete the old zipped up shapefile and then upload the new zipped up shapefile with the same name as your old zipped up shapefile. If you use ArcGIS Pro, you can create a (hosted) feature layer and then when the time comes to update the feature layer, you can overwrite the feature layer. Why are you using zipped up shapefiles just out of curiousity?

Andrew - it seems you're not alone in wanting a better way to filter Living Atlas - there's a GeoNet idea here.

This is BUG-000126365: The name of the output raster minimizes to 25 characters and the hyphens are removed in ArcGIS Pro. From Support Services, this is the current designed limit for raster file names and will be addressed in the 2.5 documentation that explicitly states this limitation.

Andrew - yes there is. If you use item fields, click on the Living Atlas icon in the Catalog Pane and type a item field such as tags:Texas - hit Enter. Then only the Living Atlas items that have a tag of Texas show up in the results.

Angela - I would recommend you use the Package Map geoprocessing tool. To package only the data in your map extent, change the Extent parameter to "current display extent." Then only the data in the map extent will be packaged out. Should be much less in file size!

Since labels are derived from the attribute table of a feature class, I would recommend you follow the following workflow for ArcMap but try it in ArcGIS Pro. Is the result the same? Please advise.

In chatting with one of our ArcGIS Enterprise instructors, she's seen this before! She said it sounds like a certificate issue either not being on the iPhone or the certificate configuration on your Portal is not correct. She provided the following URL to use to troubleshoot - https://community.esri.com/thread/203945-collector-for-arcgis-the-server-you-are-trying-to-connect-cannot-be-verified

I wonder if the geocode geoprocess of adding the field causes it to be perhaps be "read-only" or some other strangeness??? With regard to the 2 results, this has to do with the Providers of the Locate Pane. If you click Settings (to the right of Locate in the upper part of the Pane), you'll see that there is XY Provider, ArcGIS World Geocoding Service and I have a SampleServer6 for my Locate Providers. If you uncheck say 2 of the 3 leaving only XY Provider, then your search should only return one result.

Interesting. Okay try a few things listed here and let me know what you discover: Download Explorer for ArcGIS on your iPhone, log into your Portal in the app and see if you can access the web layers. What is the result? Do you have the ability to VPN through your iPhone? Log into your VPN app first (i.e. PulseSecure for example), then return back to ArcGIS Earth and try to access your web layers. What is the result?
