First thing that comes to mind is video card differences - what is your laptop using and what is your desktop using?  You can go to Device Manager->Display Adapters to find those out.  Check to see if the video card drivers out of date and update.  Another item to check is the Color Management options for AGP that you can learn more about here.  There's a slider on the options UI here to "Enable Color Management" - maybe that will help? ... No problem - for the 3rd parameter i used the open folder and pointed it a folder on disk and then added .shp to end of my %Name%_Prj name.  Ran the model and all input shapefiles were reprojected to WGS1984 in my c:\temp\test directory. ... View more

Dean - I created a Model in ArcGIS Pro that uses Iterate Feature Classes and the Project GP tool - see attached.  My model recognized the shapefile folder without any problems.  My Project GP tool output is going to a File Geodatabase - are you wanting the output to be a shapefile or geodatabase feature class?  Please advise. ... Chad - using ArcGIS Pro, I opened my Catalog Pane, clicked on Portal and finally the Cloud.  From there, I searched for "zip code" population and the first result USA Zip Code Areas (2017) I selected and added to a new map view.  In the map view, I searched for a zipcode, zoomed to it, click a Pop-Up and in the attributes there's a field Pop17_SqMi that might work for your purposes. ... David - kind of thinking out loud (in my home office), but are you overwriting the existing *.loc or deleting the old one and creating a new one?  How large is your GP history?  You may want to delete that.  It's probably not related but one never knows - clear out your AGP Display cache - mine was 8.5 GB!  Also are you creating the *.loc from *.gdb feature classes or SDE feature classes? ...
