So I tested a few of the XY coordinates and as you said, they are truly located in CA. What I would do for a test is open a new 2D Map View in the Pro Project, add the Table, and run the XY Table to Point GP tool using the WGS 1984 coordinate system. Does the newly created feature class line up as expected? Please advise.

From the internals - this is what I've been able to find -"Changed the output name for the feature class and looked for the duplicate name of the initial output name within the database and made sure to remove it since it did not contain any features in it." Hope this helps!

While in the Layout View, on the Layout Tab, click Activate in the Map group. AGP transitions to the Map Tab. From the Map Tab in the Layer Group, click Basemap and change your Basemap. Lastly, towards the far right on the ribbon, click Activated Map Frame (Layout) and click Close Activation. Basemap updated.

Robert - map views (2D/3D) are stored in the *.aprx project structure. The only way to get a map from Project A to Project B is the copy/paste workflow you described. You may read more about it here. A second workflow is to create a map package of the map view but this workflow creates a duplicate of your data sources. Perhaps not the workflow you'd like to do in this case.

Hilary - I have not seen this specific error before but one question - you mention you're using ArcGIS Pro 2.4. Are you unable to upgrade to ArcGIS Pro 2.5.0? I'd be curious to see if this issue persisted with the latest AGP technology.

Glad it worked out Dean - must be something amiss exporting to shapefile from R. You could build the Feature Class to Feature Class GP tool process to the front of your model to automate things a bit more. Happy ArcGIS Pro'ing!

Jiaqi - there was a similar thread here asking about an ArcGIS Pro functionality matrix that is worth a read. Ultimately, I don't believe there's a plan to create a comparable matrix but you can see what tools are not supported in AGP here.

Interesting. Try this - use the Feature Class to Feature Class GP tool on 5 or 6 shapefiles. Have the output from the GP tool go to another folder on disk. Update the Model to point to the new folder and re-run. Does the error message persist?

I ran a quick Pro session to see the differences. The first image is the 2 overlapping polygons. The second image is the output from Symmetrical Difference. The third image is the output from Erase. Very different views.
