Good Afternoon Everyone We have two joined ArcGIS server machines running 10.6.1 respectively. We have fully deployed the joined servers in our live environment and have started populating them with web services. I have noticed that when using the services for awhile now we have been receiving the following errors WARNING 14 Feb 2020 12:55:33 Unable to process request. java.io.IOException: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host Rest WARNING 14 Feb 2020 12:55:25 Unable to process request. java.io.IOException: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host Rest WARNING 14 Feb 2020 12:55:19 Unable to process request. java.io.IOException: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host Rest WARNING 14 Feb 2020 12:55:11 Unable to process request. java.io.IOException: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host Rest When I was trying to use a web service which was a fairly simple layer the following errors were coming back and the layer was not drawing which has happened occasionally however I've been noticing it more recently  I've had a quick look around everything appears to be working okay from what i can not quite sure where to look We are also occasionally getting the below error as well 14 Feb 2020 08:42:19 Unable to process request. Hey Folks  Hope everyone is doing well! I am currently trying to upgrade our enterprise deployment from 10.6,1 to 10.7.1 using the following guide Upgrade your ArcGIS Enterprise portal—Portal for ArcGIS (Windows) Installation Guide | ArcGIS Enterprise. I have upgraded the portal component without any issues and licence it without any issues. However when trying to register the new web adaptor I am getting the following error "Failed to get administrator token from Portal. Please verify that the Portal URL specified can be accessed successfully". I've been into the portal admin via the machine and port number and found a web adaptor was still registered is that normal? I have removed the adaptor in question and are still getting the same error above. Have cleared all browser caches,checked IIS etc all looks to be in order.  Any thoughts on anything i can try feeling really stuck? ... View more

Hello When trying to use printing inside a web application in portal we get the following error: {"error":{"code":500}} I have tried changing the print tool in the utility service with our two production servers but I am still getting the same error each time. Hello Everyone I am currently setting up new map caches for ArcGIS server 10.3.1. However when I tried to build a cache using an ECW file the cache builds, when I look at the results the tiles all blank and nothing has been created. When I have been creating caches from SID files the caches have built successfully without any problems. I have done some reading and come across a few potential different issues it could be. The one I have seen the most is an extension is needed for ArcGIS server to created a cache from it. Has any got any suggestions as to what may be happening? Hello Everyone Currently I am trying to plan a new map service structure for our GIS infrastructure as we are in the middle of upgrading all the systems. One problem I am having is with data duplication appearing across different map services. For example we have a ward boundary's layer that appears in a lot of applications that we create. We were discussing about having a set of map services for different departments containing their datasets such as planning, flooding etc and picking of the layers individual when we need them for an application in AGOL or portal. The problem we have come up against is the below for example. People may want to have different styles for their wards for example and with us only wanting the wards layer to appear once across all of our map services it means we would be limiting users to certain styles. I was wondering is there a way to apply multiple styles to a single layer in a map service and individual pick of different styles of at will for an online application built in ArcGIS online or portal. Hello Has anyone done any accessibility testing in ArcGIS online before when using the web applications such as the Web app builder template ? We will be deploying a new application soon and it has been highlighted in the past about the accessibility of ArcGIS online when using the web applications templates provided by esri Been looking into colours used on the map, navigating the map with a keyboard and if screen readers will work (not tried this yet) Just wondered if anyone had any suggestion on how to improve the accessibility of the applications when configuring them and the data. Hello Is there a way to apply hatching styling to polygons in ArcGIS online ? When we create a map service and use our own geo databases we are able to have hatching styling for the polygons as this is stored in our own databases. From what I can tell there is no way to use hatching if you are using a feature layer in ArcGIS online. Does anyone know of a way to create styling like below in ArcGIS online? Many Thanks Tom ... We have hosted a number of datasets as feature layers in ArcGIS online as we expect a 1000's of hits to our web application when we launch as it is being used for a public consultation for a number of weeks. Our clients have requested that they can search by different fields in our datasets which we can do using the geo coding service widget in our web app using our feature layers. One thing we are not quite clear on is about how much credit usage the geocode widget will use. I have seen 40 credits per 1000 geo codes which I assume means 1000 search for 40 credits against our feature services. One thing we have wondered is if we host the data on our servers would we get around the credit charge for the geo coding and the data not being stored in the cloud. As the processing would be done our servers but still using the geo coding widget? Thanks Tom ... View more
