Hi Amber, What version of Connect are you using? Is the survey you are downloading shared with you? What user role did you have with arcgis online? Are you able to create survey, delect survey or save survey from survey123 web designer?

Hi Gary, When you publish a survey(either fron Connect or survey web designer), you can aceess to survey link from survey123 website. Click the link icon of the survey, you will see the QR code for this specific survey. You could download the QR code and stick on the asset. With iOS device, you just need to use camera to scan the QR code and it will open the survey either on the web browser or field app, depends on how you set the survey(Collaborate tab).

Hi Dave, We recently addressed basemap issue on the survey123 website. You could probably try to set the website to use the latest version to see if that makes a difference: Survey123 website>survey_name>Settings tab>Version tab>Click "Always use the latest version (3.8). Besides, you could also try our beta website(https://survey123beta.arcgis.com/ ) to check if issue still remains. The beta website contains the most updated fixes. If issue still remians after trying the latest version of survey123 website, republishing the survey might be necessary, unfortunately. Thanks,

Hi Sherry, Based on your description, two users would need both add and update permissions to the survey and currenltly we don't control the records access at question level per user. If you only use one Survey, users who have the same permision would have the same access to the records. A similar question was asked before and maybe you can check to see if you could use the same approach: https://community.esri.com/thread/227150-locking-a-survey-in-the-outbox

Hi Doug, When you update the thumbnail, it actually copies the image over to your survey designs folder physically and write the parameter in the iteminfo file. Those updates will require a re-download to reflect the change of thumbnail.

Hi Doug, After published, did you re-download the survey in Connect again? You need to re-download the survey after published to see the thumbnail you edited.

Hi Dave, What version of Connect did you use to publish the survey? What basemap did you set in Connect? Are you using the existing feature service to publish the problematic survey? There is an existing issue which is similar to what you described: BUG-000125046 A geopoint location is rendered as an empty map image in the exported report from the Survey123 for ArcGIS website when the survey is created from an existing feature service. Could you try the workaround if the issue you have match to this existing issue? Create a new survey using XLSForm from the original survey and publish it as a hosted feature service. Download or export the data from the original survey in a file geodatabase. Zip the file geodatabase. Append the data to this new hosted service created in step 1. Generate the report on this new survey created in the step 1.

Hi Sherry, One suggestion would be to control the access to the records by the user role. You could have a group of users who only have the permission of "Only add new records" to the survey. Share survey—Survey123 for ArcGIS | Documentation Then use another user role to have Add, update and delete records permission to edit the survey after the survey is submitted.

Hi Mike, We do not recommend users to control the permission with the hosted feature layer level as it might conflict with the survey user's role on the survey123 website. Could you try the same setting using survey123 website(connected to your portal) and try to edit the permission for submitter using "Only add new records" and "Add and update records" to compare and see if you are seeing the same behavior as the portal feature service setting? To sign in to your portal in the Survey123 website, browse to the following URL in your browser, with the provided example portal replaced with your own portal's URL: https://survey123.arcgis.com/?portalUrl=https://exampleportal.esri.com/arcgis

Hi Gerry, Unfortunately, currently you can't disable the image access but you might be able to workaround it by using the appearance column to adjust the layout of the questions with your images. That way user won't easily click the image by accident, such as minimal setting for select one question. Or you may want to put the image in Note as read-only.

Hi David, What user role did you use to edit the data? You would need to make sure the user role you are using have add, update, and delete records permission with the survey data. You could check it from survey123 website under Collaborate tab for Summitter role.

Hi Gerry, Did you refer to the function which allow users to select images from a folder and would like to disable this and limit users to just take images from camera only? If it's true, we had an existing enhancement request logged for this: ENH-000116753 Allow disable the upload image from device's files in survey 123. I encourage you to contact Esri Support. Our Support team will assign an official enhancement number for your records. Similar requests from other customers can then be attached to the same enhancement request, which helps us assess demand for the enhancement and prioritize it accordingly.
