Yeah not sure that is the problem either. I downloaded the correctly working WAB version from AGO, and instead of uploading to my WAB developer version, I just hosted on my local web server and production servers, and it worked just fine! I did not set up a proxy. Which leads me to believe it's something with WAB for Dev version 2.2, which I thought was suppose to support editing related tables?

Nothing of note, in my opinion. No errors, just 18 warnings for loading mixed content (png's used for symbology in the webmap). After Load Config, I am returning a message, not defined as an Error in the Console, except in the way that the messages are written: dojo.io.script error Error: You do not have permission to access this resource or perform this operation. init.js:880 This message repeats four times after Load config, but is also present in the console when running the correctly working WAB app hosted in AGO.

I've also tried exporting the correctly working AGO hosted WAB version, then imported into WAB for Dev 2.2, and did not work. hmm

Robert - Thank you for your reply. Yes, I did do exactly that... And I even deleted my first installation of WAB 2.2 since I did indeed try upgrading an app into 2.2 to initially try using the editing related functionality. Even with a brand new install (and I've even gone out to esri's website to download again), I'm still getting same behavior. My next attempt is to install WAB 2.2 in an entirely different location on my computer. Any other thoughts? Is it working as expected for you?

Is anyone successfully using WAB for developers to edit related records? If so, please respond to this post! The reason I ask - I just went through my WAB 2.2 updates from 2.1, and not only will the Edit widget not work with my related tables ( 1 to many, etc.), but my app's don't even recognize any relationships that are set up (as in not even for viewing related records). To make sure I'm not crazy (which, a day after the election i might be..), I tested both of these same web maps with the hosted version of Web AppBuilder via ArcGIS Online - and editing related records worked flawlessly (which goes without saying that it recognized my relationship classes/tables as well). Really hoping i'm making a silly, minor mistake. Thanks in advance for your responses. wab 2.2 webapp builder developer edition Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS Edited to include graphic.

I like the idea. I could see it as a web app template or a configurable widget for WAB. +1

This ArcGIS Ideas entry is for a Web AppBuilder "Real-time Time-slider Widget" that would automatically update when new data is added to a feature service. An alternative would be to give time slider controls to an app user so that they can modify the time slider to start and stop dates of their choice, which would include dates into the future that might not currently exist in the feature service itself, or at the very least default the stop date as the current date/time when the app is accessed by the user. Currently, before any recently added data can be seen in WAB app's time slider widget, the time-slider must be manually updated in the associated AGO web map. I can think of a few projects that would benefit from a real-time time slider widget in Web AppBuilder, but the most immediate impact would be for our WAB alternative to the "crowd-source manager" app (which might require an entirely new Idea entry for Crowdsource Manager enhancements). However, we could still use a Real-time Time Slider widget in WAB for many other projects and apps that are part of our data collection efforts here at the County. Currently, we are using a WAB app as an alternative to the Crowd-source Management app for our Department of Transportation. While I would prefer to have them use the crowd-source managers template provided by Esri, there are some controls/functionality that we can only get through using a platform like WAB, the major function being custom geoprocessing widgets (for printing custom reports). Since our field staff are not 100% (perhaps not even 50%) smart-device enabled, our DOT managers needed the ability to print custom reports to give to workers to take with them into the field to address any issues submitted to our Reporter app for Roadways. Regardless, the updates that have been coming from Esri for both Crowdsource applications and the WAB platform have been awesome (VERY excited about the support for editing related records in most recent WAB/AGO update), please keep the updates rolling Esri Katie Cullen

Thanks for the info Katie! Unfortunately, was hoping to incorporate into an existing app, as just another way to view/query the data. Would like to see a Time Aware Widget implemented in WAB in future release Web AppBuilder Custom Widgets ArcGIS Ideas

I know this is an old idea, but think it is still very relevant, and would absolutely use it. Would love to see a widget to implement this in WAB for dev, or incorporated into Collector App. Would be great for our field workers to be able to communicate, within app, with each other, or with office staff (if implemented within WAB for instance). Especially useful for those that are responding to tickets/reports that get created as a part of our implementation of Crowdsource Reporter. Please revive this idea ArcGIS Ideas !

Almost two years since the OP, and still the same behavior in ArcGIS Online time slider/Web AppBuilder time slider settings not saving. Where this becomes an issue with my projects is with data continuously getting new records added to it. Was hoping the settings I put in the time slider in AGO would stick, as I was purposely giving it an end date far into the future so as to not always go back to the map and update the slider (because by default it will only update to the last record, but will only update when you open the time slider settings explicitly). Not sure how others are handling this, but its a pain to think you'd have to go into the webmap every time you need the time slider updated to the show the latest record added in your dataset. Maybe I'm missing a simple setting? Or maybe this is a bug or an enhancement that needs to be requested https://community.esri.com/community/arcgis-ideas ?
