Hi Pete, I think the new site is here: https://www.census.gov/geographies/mapping-files/time-series/geo/tiger-geodatabase-file.html and that you're interested in the Sub-State Geography one. I unfortunately don't know what the Census Bureau's plans are for releasing the attributes you're interested in. -Diana

Do you want basic information on population and housing in your community? Do you work in childhood development, youth outreach, senior advocacy, or emergency preparedness and response? ArcGIS Living Atlas has ready-to-use feature layers designed specifically for you! Last December, we updated 78 Living Atlas layers containing ACS data within 48 hours of Census releasing the 2014-2018 values. These layers are all grouped by topic, such as health insurance, internet access, and living arrangements. Recently, we released some new layers grouped by industry or user persona rather than by topic, that include the most essential attributes for specific use-cases. Our four industry-specific layers include: Population and Housing Basics Context for Child Well-Being Context for Senior Well-Being Context for Emergency Response You can answer questions such as Where are seniors who are uninsured? Where are seniors who don’t have a computer? Where are seniors who live alone? all from one layer – Context for Senior Well-Being. We’ve assembled key attributes that span across all topics into layers that are designed with you in mind. Each of these new layers has dozens of attributes that are of interest to a specific industry. All ACS layers in Living Atlas can be found in this ArcGIS Online Content Group. To read more about the benefits of these layers, see this ArcGIS blog post.

Hi Meric, Good question. Arcade expressions do not consume credits. By "expensive," it's just computationally expensive, so you might see a "loading" message for a split second, especially for the geometry-based functions. -Diana

Ahh, I understand now. I personally haven't found a way to do this in Pro yet, but in ArcGIS Online, you can do this while searching for layers from within the Map Viewer by toggling on the "only show content within the map area" option:

HI Jay, I sent you to the 2016 data since that was the most recent, but actually the 2017 version of the 500 cities layer was just added to Living Atlas earlier this week! -Diana

The Living Atlas has a group of feature layers that contain over 100 detailed tables from the U.S. Census Bureau's American Community Survey, making over 1,100 attributes on demographics, socioeconomics, and housing available across the ArcGIS platform. We've also provided some commonly calculated percentages from the American Community estimates to support your workflows. If you want to combine some counts and construct some additional attributes, it's easy to do so using Arcade Expressions. Here's a simple example: Say you're a social services analyst for a county, and you want to find out the count and percentage of children who live in single-parent families. You found the ACS Living Arrangements Variables layer in the Living Atlas, and you see two attributes: Total Population Under 18 Years in Male Householder (no wife present) Family Households (B09008_010E) Total Population Under 18 Years in Female Householder (no husband present) Family Households (B09008_011E) You could create a quick Arcade Expression to add these two to get the count of children in single-parent families: $feature["B09008_010E"]+$feature["B09008_011E"] Now to get the percentage, you can take advantage of the pre-calculated percentages! In this case, the two you would be interested in are: Percent of Children in Single-Male Householder Families (B09008_calc_pctSME) Percent of Children in Single-Female Householder Families (B09008_calc_pctSFE) The Arcade Expression for the percent of children in single-parent families looks like this: $feature["B09008_calc_pctSME"]+$feature["B09008_calc_pctSFE"] Alternatively, you could find the field that contains the denominator you need and divide, making your Arcade Expression as follows: ($feature["B09008_010E"]+$feature["B09008_011E"])/$feature["B09008_001E"]*100 Add your custom calculations here! Have you constructed any custom statistics with the americancommunitysurvey layers available in the Living Atlas? Please share them below! If you have questions as you're calculating custom statistics, feel free to ask (and answer!) them here.

Hi James, You could try finding that table's Item Details page and clicking "Update" which will then ask you to upload a new version of the table (with the rows you want to add) from your local computer which will then refresh this table. Let me know if this works for you, Diana

Hi Gayle, There is a way for an Administrator to change ownership of ArcGIS Online items. Here is the doc: https://doc.arcgis.com/en/arcgis-online/administer/manage-items.htm (Under the section called "Manage Items for a Specific Member", #7: reassign ownership.) Hope this helps.

If you own the layer, you can add a field by going to the Item Details Page -> Data Tab: You can also edit values in cells directly here as well.

Labels are a dynamic thing in ArcGIS Online. The features that actually get labels to show up will probably change as you zoom in & out, and pan around. At least that's been my experience.

Try combining the "isEmpty()" and the "iif()" logic functions, which works similar to the if-function in Excel: IIf( condition, trueValue, falseValue ) in your case, it sounds like it would be iif(isEmpty(addrunit),addrnmbr, addrunit) Here's the Arcade Function Reference list for your reference: https://developers.arcgis.com/arcade/function-reference/

I'm having the same issue as Lukas. I tried your method which works for the map frames, but I have a layout with three map frames (Alaska, Hawaii, and other 48 states), and the overall background of the entire layout is still white even though my three map frames have their backgrounds set to transparent.
